Now that I have your attention..ahem...;):D

Anyone here work out?

I am actually hoping that I can get some good suggestions for fast paced, hard core, work out music. I am getting bored with my current selections and I would so appreciate some guidance!

I am open to just about anything as long as it is up tempo...I am not practicing yoga...

:rose: a big thank you in advance.

Check out some of the military gear websites for "jodie songs". These are the antiphonal chants that units use to run to. The sergeant calls out a line and the unit answers in chorus. They're very much in the spirit of African work songs and are paced to jogging soldiers. Admittedly, they can get a touch raunchy . . .

When I would go jogging [before the strain of concrete and metal flooring wrecked the cartilidge in my knees] I loved Linkin Park to run to. Some forms of Techno music are designed to pump you up as well.

My current 5k playlist includes

Figured you out -- Nickleback
Girlfriend -- Avril Lavigne (its so wrong how much I love that song but I do)
No rest for the wicked -- Godsmack
Feel good hit of the summer--queens of the stone age
Thats not my name -- The Ting tings
One love--Bob Marley (I kind of slow down mid way)

I'd have to look up the rest but I just got done running and I'm too tired to go look.

I've got what Amy calls my "Lesbian Workout Music." It's a ~ 30 minute set that starts out slower and works up to a full sprint and then cools back down. I switch the songs up every once in a while but it gives me great pacing and I'm always amazed when it's over. I use it for running and for arobics.

My current set is as follows:

"Damn, Wish I Was Your Lover" - Sophie Hawkins
Faster -------
"Surrender" - Laura Pausini
"Opus 17" - Frankie Valle
Sprint -------
"U & Ur Hand" - Pink
"Girlfriend " - Avril Lavigne
"Dance Commander" - Electric Six
Faster -------
"Send Me You" - The Butchies
"Atomic Dog" - George Clinton
Cool Down -------
"Black Roses Red" - Alana Grace

(and yeah, it's pretty eclectic ain't it?)

Muahahaha! I love it! Avril Lavigne's "GirlFriend" is on mine too! Bet we aren't thinking the same things when we hear it though! (or maybe we are! )

Well, I'm hoping your situation with your wife is better than mine with mine, but I think we are not too very far apart. :D

Though any woman who would play that for me...... DAYUM.

Hehehe. I used to turn it up loud on the stereo and chase Amy through the house and "kareoke" at her till she snogged me senseless!

Can't do that any more though - ever since the first time I heard the girls singing along with the part that goes "that's right I'm the motherfucking princess". Oops!

Its her attitude that can pull off the "you, I want you, NOW" that makes me so hot.

Ha! Mine loves that song too, but I think she's only heard the "Rated G" version on the radio.

She was singing along to Pink "U & Ur Hand" in the backseat, and I had to put a stop to it. Couldn't have her singing it at school or (God forbid!!) Grammy's house.

*sigh* She's going to hate me someday.

Yeah? I'll never forget the time my mom finally listened to the lyrics of Prince's "Darling Nikki." :D

God, I'm old.

There was an instrumental called, I believe, Move. I thought it was great "fucking" music but I'll bet it would do equally well to jogging, cycling, rollerblading or whatever kind of thing you felt like doing vigorously.

But it's still great for fucking.

Thanks for the great suggestions! I did download many of them!
I absolutely LOVE Linkin Park "Bleed it Out"...makes me work hard!

Don't know if you're into latin but some hardcore Reggaeton is pretty blood-pumping too. Check out the genre and listen to a few. I like the latin rhythm, and if you understand Spanish, the lyrics can be pretty intense. If you don't understand Spanish, it's still cool. Makes you feel like working hard, it's sexy and pumped all at once. :D

Here are mine:

Spirit Never Dies - Masterplan
Saturday Nights Alright (For Fighting) Nickleback feat. Kid Rock
Live to Win - Paul Stanley
One (Always Hardcore) Scooter
Me Against the World - Simple Plan
Gettin' Better - Tesla
Phenomenon - Thousand Foot Krutch
Rawkfist - Thousand Foot Krutch

Take It Off - The Donnas
Through the Fire and Flames - Dragonforce
My Goddess - The Exies
The Pretender - Foo Fighters
Adrenaline - Gavin Rossdale
I Stand Alone - Godsmack
The Enemy - Godsmack

Hope that helps. :)
