Chicago Litogether 2008 After Action Report

See, I WANT to jump out a perfectly good airplane. It's an unfulfilled dream.

There's nothing like it. When my feet touched ground, I knew there wasn't anything I couldn't do. I'd go again in a heartbeat, if the op ever presents itself.

How did I end up getting involved in this?

Different Mark, dear, and he's a real pain in the neck. But a good friend.

Oh I see....he does have some similarities to me then...the pain in the neck bit....

I'd do it to, given the chance...:cattail:

Mark (my Mark) is a bit of a daredevil. He likes to go skydiving, mountain climbing, hanggliding, and most recently, parasailing. That last one almost cost him the ultimate price. That's why VM made that comment.

The sail failed and Mark fell quite a distance before crashing into shallow water. His body shattered like a sack of eggs. That was last Xmas time, but he's back on his feet now, and driving me nuts as usual.

His name online is Mark_Ilaan.

Ouch!!

I know I've taken risks before but never that much/far and possibly never will..much respect for him for not only doing those things but also for fighting back and not just accepting his damaged body.

I don't think I've ever walked into a room full of people I'd never met before and felt so damn comfortable and happy to be there.

Me either. "Oh YOU'RE Katyusha." Here was me: "Oh so YOU'RE AvoidingRealWork." :D (that's the one I remember doing anyway) But we all sort of had an idea of who we all were beforehand...I'm not sure anybody there is someone else online. Maybe a little more shy or a bit more outgoing in person but not different than they are here. ;)

There will be one I'm sure..... I think you will be such a welcome addition to the litogether.......... I think your post on here revived some people's thoughts on the gathering, piqued interests, and reminded people of what the event is really about..... :rose:

Thank you dear and you know I do very much look forward to coming... or cumming... or both :D

That's very true. Nobody seemed to stand out as being really different from the way they were perceived on the boards. There were only positive discoveries when it came to people I hadn't talked to a lot before.

Sarahh watched me write my name on the sticker and greeted me. I found it sorta hard to say anything before that, even though I'd read her sticker already. The first one I walked towards after that was Rob, simply because he was easy to recognize. :D

Then I was whisked away to the bar by CrazyOldLady and Mansome, and it was much more relaxed after that.

Respect? I believe his mother says what he needs is an ass-kicking for scaring 23.5 years off her life. She saw the whole thing happen, poor woman.

If you knew Mark, you'd know that he never accepts anything. He fights whatever forces that try to keep him down. He works hard, plays hard and fights for the fun of it -- and does it all with a grin on his face. Well, it's actually more of a smirk, the kind you want to smack right off his face, but that's part of his charm.

LOL, well his mother is perfectly entitled to want to kick his ass in that case, watching happen must have been her worst nightmare coming true...

Ah that shit-eating grin, I know it well....:D

Careful, Mols. The way you talk about me, people are going to think we're in love.
