Sex and Spirituality

Well last night Lit was down for quite a bit of time. I didn't mope about this of course.

First I did some online browsing for some leather chaps for my wife and I. (I think I found what I want.) The we sat down and watched a movie.

Anyone here seen the "Bucket List"? I thought it was a great movie in it's premise and actually very well carried out. Now here's a question for those who have seen it.

Have you made a Bucket List? If so have you done anything on it? (Ever wonder how I ended up in Florida or why I'm riding a bike again?)

I haven't seen that one yet.

No bucket list... Just living one day at a time and hoping for the best.

Interesting topic, Cat. Haven't seen the Bucket List, but it's on my list of movies to watch.

I don't have a Bucket List, per se. Or not that I'm consciously aware of. Maybe it'd be a good writing assignment??

-ponders-

Yanno, I wonder just how different the bucket list of a third grader and an adult would differ...

On another note, I got to wondering about how many people have had that WOW moment, when suddenly something - anything - became clear about who they really ARE deep down inside. I remember one of mine, and think da bug would too if I said what it was, but how many of you here have had one? Will you share?

I think I'll have my kids write a "Bucket List" when I start class this year... might be interesting

*nods* I think I would know what yours is...

My "WOW" moment..I think it's happened in the past year. Maybe not a specific "moment" but one or two "moments"... one major one is - realizing that I am strong enough to follow my dream of teaching. Another - realizing my bi-sexuality & being comfortable enough with it (hubby's okay w/ it too!)

Mine involved "leave it to the half-breed..." Or at least the one that got me thinking about all of this.

You realise that was the first time I had EVER gone down on my knees in front of a fully clothed man? And you saw how he looked at me. And you laughed at it. :p But it almost that look of ownership, and for the first time it felt... just... right.

*nods* I so remember... and yes, I did laugh, but was what, all of 19 years old. But what we realize is what we realize...

19 or 20... I was 20, so it was close for you either way.

hehehe... Wasn't that the night we figured out that Velveeta sticks to the tv?

We took the Beast out for a short run today. Had some errands to do and the bike looked to be perfect for it. (Not to mention the weather was behaving.)

The ride to the mini mall was without incident and more than relaxing. We visited the Movie Store for the next disk of "Lost" then it was off to the hardware store. We followed that by hitting the grocery store for the ribs we needed for the Fourth. When we strolled back out to the bike we ran into a bit of a problem.

You see the movie and the hardware fit in the cargo box without problem, but the 18 pound package of ribs didn't have a chance. We solved the problem easily enough though. My wife would carry them on the ride home.

We fired up the bike and hit the roads for the five mile ride home. Now the entertainment part of the ride began. The first part was when we saw a guy on a scooter heading the other way. He was wearing a Speedo, Flip Flops and a full face helmet. It wouldn't have been so funny excet the guy had a rug on his back and a Pot Belly. We were laughing for most of the rest of the ride home.

When we had almost reached home we had to stop and wait for a draw bridge. As we were waiting we heard then saw another bike coming up towards us. When the bike came alongside us I looked over and was thankfull for my sunglasses, they kept my eyes in my head. Beside us was the same young lady from last weekend. Once again she was wearing her tight jeans, boots, vest and helmet. When she saw who was beside her she smiled and started chatting with my wife and myself. When she saw the ribs in my wifes hands she asked about them and my wife explained.

That was when the young lady turned away from us to dig through her offside saddle bag. Not finding what she was looking for she turned towards us and started digging through that saddle bag. As she pulled out a piece of paper and a pen I noticed something of great interest to me. There was nothing under her vest, nothing other than her that is. She wrote something on the paper and handed it to my wife as she dropped her pen back in the saddle bag, giving me another eyesfull.

It was only after we got home that I got a look at the piece of paper. It had a phone number on it. Methinks we may have someone going along with us on the Fourth.

Hey gang....

I know I've been absent from the electonic world lately....But I'm kinda close to launching a virtual church....maybe...(alrright I'm still on the fence...)

But I'm experimenting with an online webcasting site called mogulus...ANd I've set up a channel.

Tonight is the "infamous" boat night the party night before the Port Huron to Mackinaw Sail Race tomorrow....I've stuck a webcam out my window...it's pretty boring now, but as the afternoon and evening progresses it will get wilder as several hundred thousand people converge to drink...And this year they rescinded the ban on open containers of alchohol.... lord knows what you might see...

Usually around six ocklock est the street in front of me gets closed and is filled with classic vettes.....so take a look, if you get bored...

Here's the link to my channel.

I'm still alive y'all... just horridly busy with teaching FT and grad school ... and the family added in there too! :)

Been trying to think of some fun topics to resurrect this thread but drawing a blank. Hmmm...ponders

I too have been busy. Work and playing tag with Tropical Storms and of course riding when I can.

Oh and I have been working on a Bookcase.

I have also been annoying and threatening family members, dealing with my fathers illness and going to a family reunion. Oh and I have also received a ring from my wife for our anniversary.

And yet I have been watching this forum hoping my friends would come back.
