One-quarter of Hillary Clinton supporters are voting for McCain

I don't think it's true.

Well apparently the Republican Party hosted a happy hour in Denver for Clinton supporters during the Democratic Convention. And the reports I saw stated that only two-thirds of Clinton supporters are supporting Obama with a quarter firmly stating their intention to support McCain and the rest undecided.

I find that staggering. I'm sure something like that has happened in the past but I can't recall a switch of such proportions in my lifetime.

I think the real question is - if they find themselves willing and able to support John McCain, then why on earth were they supporting Clinton?

I don't buy it. Sounds like propaganda.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned:devil:

That makes no sense.

Plus, they really shouldn't be called Clinton supporters anymore. If they actually supported her, then they would have listened to her when she said that she believed in Obama and wanted everyone to support and elect him. What they are now is McCain supporters with no moral compass.

I seriously doubt that's true of party activists, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are some states where a big percentage of Clinton primary voters went to McCain. We're talking here about two types of people, most likely: those who voted in the primary because the Democratic race were where the action was, but usually vote Republican in the fall anyway; and those who might have voted for Clinton had she been the nominee, but find Obama unpalatable for some reason. I think the main reason that sort of Clinton voter won't support Obama is obvious enough.

Agreed. Cant really consider yourself a supporter if you jump like that imo.

Not all Democrats are far left wing liberal corrupted atheistic morons...

They must have got a glimpse of a few things they didn't like or could not live with or support.

If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, I'm shocked to learn you would think such a thing.

Well, if the media is to survive, there needs to be some sort of controversy to exploit...even an invented one.

You seriously think Obama is closer to McCain than Hillary is?

I'm not buying it. PUMA founder Darragh Murphy donated money to the Republicans in the 2000 election. This all sounds like a scam to me. I don't particularly believe that these "Hillary supporters" were ever in Hillary's camp.
