You feel that someone's talking "out of their ass"?

No ridicule allowed. It's a valid difference of opinion.

*

You feel that someone's using hate / racist / separatist speech?

No ridicule allowed. It's a valid difference of opinion.

*

You feel that someone's being a total hypocrite?

No ridicule allowed. It's a valid difference of opinion.

*

From now on, please follow this guideline when responding to an opinion different than your own:

"I hear you, and I resepct your point-of-view. I want you to know that I acknowledge your right to have an inidivdual opinion, and that you are my equal, despite the fact that we may disagree."

This, my friends, is part of being politically correct. And it is beautiful.

And, if you don't agree...

Stop trying to stifle free speech!

I have no problem telling someone I think their opinion is stupid. I don't care if it's allowed or not.

That's the point of this thead.

And anyone who didn't get the sarcasm is a fucking idiot. :D

no shit, they don't give a toss who they offend but heaven forbid we'd have something to say about it

And just what makes you think that your opinion is the Correct one.
Can you not discuss things rationally without ridicule.

This comes from the poster that trolls everyone and cuts everyone down!!!

What got into you????

Turning over a new leaf????

In general it is better to attack the message than the messenger - i.e., try to keep it from being personal. Of course, when a person is a bigot and/or an idiot that is sometimes hard - generally I just put bigots and sometimes idiots on ignore.

No, it just reflects poorly on the person attempting to use "ridicule" rather than respond by using arguments. You can certainly present yourself as a classier individual if you treat others with respect no matter how much you loathe them.

You feel that someone's using hate / racist / separatist speech?

What is this obsession you have with "separatism"? How far does forced integration have to go before you are satisfied? Most people tend to gravitate toward their own race. Look at a school playground. Its kind of stupid to lump "separatism" as the same thing as racism. I don't believe it necessarily is. Its certainly not the same as "hate." (Note, I didn't mean you're stupid, but your view is).

This, my friends, is part of being politically correct. And it is beautiful.

Actually politically incorrect means someone who disagrees with the social left primarily on the "group based" issues (racial issues, homosexual issues, gender issues, nationality issues, etc).

The original post was sarcasm.

And don't pretend to play nice. You name call with the worst of them.

Wrong. Thanks for playing.

I try to only do it after someone's attacked me. Sometimes its quite a while after so they don't realize that its in response to something they've said to me in the past. I try not to start things, very hard. I'm like a hockey player, I will get you back but it may be in the next game or the next season. I have a long memory.

You post the funniest shit. No wonder most of what you say doesn't make any sense. You are responding to something said a month ago.

Does it really take you that long to think of a comeback.

1. - Different "from" not "than."

2. - Public comments inciting to violence in real life must be excluded unless coupled with a sincere desire to engage in revolution for which you have every intention of serving a long prison sentence; in which case, God help you.

3. - Anything critical of, hostile to, or otherwise demeaning to Hello Kitty is totally beyond the pale.

Other than that, I'm sort of okay with some of that in some ways, I guess.
