sympathy for my left-hand little finger

she is right handed, no?
She needs paper and pencil, if not laptop... and write about an erotic hospital adventure. AND/ or a round of kinky bingo.

Actually, she said that she was writing a tentacle porn story from the point of view of the tentacles.

Thanks for the update, fuzzy bear. Having to stay longer than expected isn't a good sign; I do hope she'll be okay.

If she's thinking about tentacle stories, though, it sounds like her spirit is doing fine. :)

Update on Stella's finger:

As of about 2:00 p.m. PST, Stella was still waiting for surgery. Her hospital has internet connection but blocks Literotica so her connection with the outside world is a little limited. She does have her cell phone, though, so those of you who know her number can call her up and chat. I think it would be good for her morale.

The hospital staff came by around lunch time and told her they hoped to get to her this afternoon. She hadn't heard anything since then. So . . . fingers crossed and hopes up for Stella, then.

I'll check back with her tomorrow. Hopefully by then she'll be home.

Damn.

We're thinking about her.

Poor Stella. If there's one place I avoid like the plague it's the hospital. I have to be almost DEAD for anyone to make me even CONSIDER going to see a doctor, and hospitals... those are just out. I spent WAY too much time in them as a kid.

I hope things went well and she gets out soon. Hospitals are icky places in my mind.

Which really deserves a better person to be attached to.

I sliced it open this afternoon, and severed the flexor tendon, the one that lets it curl inward. I have an appointment for surgery, monday morning... They said to expect an eight-hour wait.

One moment of inattention around power tools, my friends; let this be a reminder to us all :(

If that happened to me I couldn't hit bottom C <shudders>

 your severed digit

Hokay, everbodee,
Stella is home now but very groggy from the painkillers. Her finger is repaired but bandaged to Hell and back so she is essentially one-handed. She'll be back but it will take time.

Phew!

Thanks for the update VM. ;)

Yay!

and prognosis is...?
Use of left hand pinky?
or too soon to know?

I'm awake-ish at last, and typing one-handed.

thirtyseven hours without food or drink, attached to an iv! I was waiting for a lull in the really bad emergencies, of course, and of course they never stop coming! A surgeon came by to offer me a gamble: I could eat dinner and hope that the hand team has space tomorrow afternoon(today, that would have been) or keep fasting, just in case. He said he'd keep operating till 3:00 in the morning. So, I took the bet, and got lucky.

I went into surgery around 12:30 last night and woke up at 2:00 am...The next thing I knew was a breakfast that I couldn't chew, and a truly insignificant cup of coffee. Morphine, yuck...

Now I have a gigantic club on the end of my left arm, and I'm typing one-handed...

I started this post about four hours ago!

Stella!

What a terrible experience - so glad you're finally home.

Take care of you.
