This isn't really a question, more of a comment.
So last night at work I had a bad, bad, bad night. I came home pretty early and asked my boyfriend to tie my wrist to the bed before I went to sleep. That's not something I've ever done before, but I figured, what the hell.
It was the first full night of sleep I've had in weeks. I feel sssoooo much better now.
That was all I had to say. :)

Maybe next time you should ask him to tie all of your appendages to the bed all night long.

I chuckled when i read that. I can only imagine him trying to sleep when I'm taking up the whole bed like that. :) Besides, I like to move around in my sleep so the one wrist still allowed that.

I'm starting to see a rising trend...

My submissive does this as well. http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=515936&page=3

Even before she knew me, it seemed instinctive to her. That it was simply a natural progression of action and thought. She tethers herself when she's needing that center after a rough day.
Once on, it focuses her in ways she wasn't aware of previously.
I came to this same realization when I was 20. I bought a leather bracer for my left wrist because I li8ke leather and there was a celtic pattern to it.
But it didn't take long for me to feel centered and connected to myself once I had worn it a few times. Within a month I wasn't able to go without it for more then 2 - 4 hours or so.
My dependancy is slightly less impulsive now. But it's still something I cannot go without for more then 48 hours.

I wonder if there's been any research done on the psychological effects of limb bondage.

Enjoy!

While I can get a great night's sleep when tied for the night and that binding being attached to the bed by F, it would do nothing for me to do it myself, nor would I see it necessarily as proof I was submissive. I think it would likely depress me more than anything as it would mean I didn't have anyone to do it for me, no-one to hold me captive, no-one to take that sort of possession thus reducing me to role playing it alone. Different strokes for different folks.

I wouldnt do it by myself just for safety sake.. I know my luck.. I'd end up tethered to a bed, the house would catch fire and I wouldnt be able to get it off in time..

I think if I had done it by myself, I probably would have had a pair of scissors on the window sill.
Actually this morning, I woke up to someone banging on the door. I had to wake up my boyfriend though to go anser it, since I was still tied down. :)

What about when you have to pee?

An option for quick release when alone would be using the velcro fastening type cuffs. They are snug, keep closed, but only take a firm tug from the edge to undo them. Most also come with some form of attaching things like leashes etc., to them as well as locking them together.

Yes Catalina, it would be so much nicer to be centered in bed by someone else! I will admit that lately, even though my work pressure is high at this moment, I haven;t been tethering nearly as much. Nor have I been wearing something around my ankle during the day. Perhaps it's because I am anchored by heart to him now.

One of the best nights of sleep ever and one of the most beautiful mornings...

My fond memory of the time I slept tied to the bed (tied by someone, not myself.)

I can't stand to wear a watch, or even a ring, for long. Drives me batty to have anything on my wrists.

Cherub likes to wear a pair of bracers that are made of bronze. We were actually complimented on them yesterday while at dinner by the waitress. Since she feels so grounded and they look so lovely on her, I think I will look into a pair of locking steel cuffs for her soon.

I've seen them. They're very pretty, and I like the fact that they're not the exact same design.

as far as im concerned, its been pretty much proven that i sleep better with leather on my body. i sleep in cuffs that resemble leather braclets. when i am with Master or sleeping without my roomate i sleep in a pair of what he calls "quick cuffs" they are leather cuffs that i can slip in and out of that are connected by a small chain. when i sleep in my leather collar i have yet to have a night where i didnt sleep amazingly.

It may seem odd to some people that I would not have my girls sleep in rope. I just don't like it for sleeping, as it is too restrictive, and I've yet to figure out how to tie something loose that will still stay on, and not look like crap. Thus it is one of the few times when I prefer leather to rope.

And I sleep better when I know my collars are in the proper places.

Yes, one is clearly more dominant than the other. I like that subtle reminder.

She's got taste and an eye for detail. Hold onto her :)
