Girls who like girls...

I'm home for right now.
It's been a long day.
My mom is very sick and I need to drive to Iowa, preferably tonight.
Not sure how to make the trip, but am trying to get my shit together to go.

*hugs*
thinking about ya babe :rose::kiss:

I suspect L won't be online for a bit. She's gone to see her mom in the hospital in another state. I'm sure she'd be thankful for any well-wishing pms you can send though.

Good...
2. yes (but only if you make enough for everybody)
Of course - are there big stew-pots, roasting dishes, pie-tins/plates available, or should I bring some?
3. but of course...we like ice!
I'll bring a case of gin and several dozen of tonic then...
(and you can come smoke in my room.....we will talk about all the hot chicks that surround us, blow smoke out the window and gargle with mouth wash when we finish)
- er, mouthwash can be (b)Listerine. Won't any strong alcohol solution do?

Blowing is fine... :D but if there's too much talk about hot chicks, I may need some relief... Suggestions please.

Will send a note through but if you hear from her, send an audio hug for me!:rose:

Will do. Everything is much the same for her mom. Lots of waiting and seeing at the hospital. She's exhausted and worried, but hanging in there as best she can.

That has to be hard. I know not being able to do a damn thing makes it harder.

Send along my love to Logo. I only wish I could hug her for real and pass along some physical comfort.

I popped online for a few minutes to check email and thought I'd wave to my lovely lady friends. I hope everyone is well.

Doing OK, flirting and de-stressing. Sorry to hear about your mom. Wish there was more I could do than just offer a hug.

Tonight seems a little better, though I know that looks can be deceiving until days 4 and 5 post-surgery. It seems like an endless cycle of shift changes and IV bags at this point. Today was the first time any of the staff said "when she gets transferred from the ICU..." They haven't been saying anything because there was no indication that she would survive. Maybe there's a little hope yet.

Sorry, that was probably the opposite of flifting and de-stressing.

Hey sis...wish my phone was on so you could call if you needed...wish I could offer you big hugs of comfort.

Don't worry about that, I'm just glad to hear something positive about your mom.

I can't call right now anyway.
My mom finally got a decent nurse. She's the calmest she's been in days, so my sister and I are laying down in a waiting room for a while. It's actually a consult room with two long couches in it. Someone from housekeeping told us to make ourselves comfortable for as long as we need. My sister is already asleep but I needed a little time before I was ready to crash. If I need some support, though, I'll try to send a PM.

You're very sweet, by the way.

I'm always here.

At least you have a comfortable place to rest and your sister is with you. :rose::rose:

Well, they just took mom's respirator out and we're watching to see how she does. Hopefully it will go well and we won't be forced to make the decision about whether or not to reintubate.

*fingers crossed*
