I'm writing a story that contains a scene of breath control and I want to include an author's warning note at the beginning. Does anyone have a suggestion how to word it?

Here's what I have so far:

Author’s note: This story contains scenes of breath control. Please do not attempt to perform breath control or obstruction without experience, assistance, and most importantly, consent. The posting of this story by this author does not constitute proper instruction and should not be used as a "how-to" manual. Please exercise caution!

Is this too strongly worded?

Thanks for any help!

I think what you have sounds fine.:)

Strongly worded would be more like:
"If you've never heard of breath control and/or have never done it before: DON'T! If you do and something goes wrong don't come whining to me its not my fault that you're a moron"

*LOL*

Saying 'don't try breath control unless you have experience' is a bit of a catch 22 for newbies. :D

I guess I would put something like...

This story contains scenes of breath control. Breath control carries a high risk of injury, permanent injury and even death. It should only ever be practised by two consenting adults after a lot of research and experimentation into tolerances and limits. This story does not constitute adequate instruction and should not be used as a 'How To' guide. If you die or kill someone and end up in jail, don't come running to me.

I think I'd be comfortable with this. :) Thanks!

Thanks for everyone's suggestions on what to post as a cautionary note!

Now, my story is finished and ready for review. I've posted a request for an editor over in the Editor Forum and thought I should post the link over here.

Anyone interested?

I've titled the request: Breath Control + Glass = Bliss (Any willing editors?)
