dont forgetHey BB, Bush only had to give a speech at Bob Jones to be tainted as bad as Obama spending twenty years in Wrights racist pews. Fair analogy right? UD is the epitome of political fairness.

Illustrating the blatant double standard is completely fair.
The views of white evangelicals are just as extreme as anything Wright has ever said, and yet they (and the GOP politicians that rubbed elbows with them) are given a pass while Rev. Wright and Senator Obama are raked over the coals by this mass of hypocritical morons, present company included of course.
Falwell, Robertson, Parsley and others have a long, LONG history of religious, sexual, and racial bigotry... Of course its relevant. They can say what they want, its based on THIER view of religion
Lincoln said this as well:
"I will say then that I am not, nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in anyway the social and political equality of the white and black races - that I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people; and I will say in addition to this that there is a physical difference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races living together on terms of social and political equality. And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I as much as any other man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race. I say upon this occasion I do not perceive that because the white man is to have the superior position the negro should be denied everything."
Fourth Debate with Stephen A. Douglas at Charleston, Illinois, September 18, 1858

I'm not defending anything, you asked and I responded. So you smear all Presidents to save your hero? Typical. How do you know what they thought about it. Find me some presidential quotes on the subject.
You didn't finish UD....you should have wrote: You have to READ for a very long time with my extreme prejudice and all will become clear.
"The facilities should be separate. When God has drawn a line of distinction, we should not attempt to cross that line."
Falwell's jeremiad continued: "The true Negro does not want integration.... He realizes his potential is far better among his own race." Falwell went on to announce that integration "will destroy our race eventually. In one northern city," he warned, "a pastor friend of mine tells me that a couple of opposite race live next door to his church as man and wife."
Actually, I only had to get halfway through the 2nd paragraph to find this ...
No extreme prejudice needed to see the bigotry in that. It's one thing to be disagreeable, it's another to cut off your nose to spite your face. Seriously, think about your responses before defending someone who says shit like that.
Yeah, yeah, but how many presidential candidates sit in their pews for twenty fucking years and get away with it, is the point...and the other point is did any of those other presidential preachers sermons rise to the level of Wrights hatred? If so name one.

I LOVE NASCAR! I've always hated low-profile tires; reminds me of those tiny Euro-cars, the kind I want us to drive, because inside, I'm not black, white, or even redneck, I'm green and let me tell you, 500 miles electric is just as exciting as 500 miles gas... [/voice, begin vapid, hopeful anticipation...]
