Can not believe we're getting another huge dumping of snow. It's currently falling at the rate of two inches per hour. Sophie and I are sitting in the living room, dreading the dig out that will come just before bedtime tonight.

So, how's the weather where you are?

Send it up here. We're going for a record winter here in Toronto.

It's been so long since Toronto has done anything significant we're desperate for some claim to fame. ;)

NE gale. High tide has just passed but I've got to clean the salt spray off my windows again - 2nd time in three days.

If we get all 15 inches, we'll have broken several records with this storm.
But, we're not happy about it.

BTW - the only claim to fame Toronto needs, in my opinion, is that RobG lives there. That's enough to make any city proud!

It hit 60 yesterday for the first time and it was fucking wonderful. We've had a horrible winter down here too, Logo, and flooding from all the shit you're getting up there.

The really sad thing is that it was in the 50's here yesterday, too.
Sunny, beautiful, warm.

And now - this.
Blech.

Sorry about your flooding.
I've been trying to get the snow to let up for weeks.
Apparently I have no real pull anymore.

Keep wearing those shorts and you sure as hell will!

Hey, lovely one! Been missing you!

Sorry about the snow - damn! Such a stupid winter!

We have snow expected on Easter morning.

Have you called the Army in yet? I thought all Torontians were wimps when it came to snow. :)

I'm in Ottawa and with another 20 centimetres we'll break the record set in 1970-1971.

I hate snow. I need to move to Florida. Does anyone who live there want a roommate? I'm a neat freak and love to clean.

Nah. The loon that did that is long gone, the jumped up refrigerator salesman.

We got through this winter fine.

It's sunny, but still in the 40s most days. WIndy as all hell the last few as well. But the sun is still nice :D

It is a stupid winter.
The snow is just too much.
Sophie's move was supposed to be today instead of yesterday. But we knew it was going to do this, so we moved it up a day.

I've missed you, too, Sarahhh. :)

Yesterday, we had the first snow since november.

No snow or even sub-zero degrees in the actual winter months. Nuts.

Weather?

I'm in San Diego. The only storms we get are made out of fire.

Warm thoughts to all of you in the cold places of the world. I'm trying to remember not to tease. If things go as planned, I'll likely be posting how much I miss the sun this time next year...

We keep looking out the window and saying "fuck. look at the snow." There's so much already and it's supposed to keep snowing till midnight. So glad we have groceries and everything else we need.

A great day for unpacking!

If you get to Temecula say hey to my in laws :D

i miss the snow. i really do. even digging out...it forces people to gather close to share warmth.
it forces the child out of you as well. no way would i let a snow fall pass without making snow forts or having snowball fights. then coming inside for hot cocoa with fluff and melting in front of a fire.

however, i understand that enough is enough and the longing for sunny, warm days as well.

but on the flip side:
today, i planted the garden and...according to everyone around here, im planting wicked late. really hoping that something grows but if not, i can plant again in the fall...
which is something like late november.

When I was child, snow was a fun thing to visit. After I was in the Army standing guard duty at night in three feet of the stuff it became a beautiful thing to look at . . . on a mountain . . . from the flatlands!

I just did the first round of snow duty.
We will go out again in a few hours, and then again in the morning. The world is pretty much standing still until the weather lets up.

Everyone has a bad attitude about this storm. The whole city is in a foul mood!

Just finished round two pf snowblowing while Sophie made sure the kids ate dinner and had the boy-children load the dishwasher. I'm certain I had the easier job!

Now, a hot toddy and a jacuzzi!
(I fucking wish!)

I'm spending the rest of the day thinning the nectarines on my tree in the back. Clear skies, low 70's. Gee Erin, I've got a guest room here in SoCal . . .

Of course it doubles as my painting studio so I will take modeling time in exchange for room and board. ;)

I'm jumping on a plane now! Seriously the weather men say 6 more weeks of winter here. That would be the first week of May!! We're also being charged more since the city has run out of money to clear the snow.

rgraham - Glad your city can handle the weather. When I was there in January it had snowed and it wasn't that bad.

Erin

It was in the 70s today. It's supposed to rain and be in the 40s Easter Sunday though.
