Some of my professors in university had a view that writing shorter essays was much more difficult than writing longer pieces. Their argument was that it's easy to take 2000-3000 words to argue a point. It's much harder to use only 500 or 750 words to do the same.

Did you see the unicorn/dog story that got through in '06? I still goggle at that one.

But there are themes you can explore at Lit that you just couldn't anywhere else. That's something to consider!
I linked it.
Above.
To make it easy for ya.
Not yours, Boxy... this is a unicorn that is quite interchangeable with the family dog. Just read the first few paragraphs, you'll see what I mean...
This is a new one that I just received from an "anonymous and cowardly poster. He's accusing me of plaigurizing my own stories, stories that I removed from the site last year to rewrite this year. What the fuck? Then, everyone wonders why I get so cranky.
Now, if someone can show me in the Survivor rules that I am not allowed to repost stories, stories that were removed from the site, and stories that did not earn any points in previous Survivor Contests and stories that did not win any contests, then I will remove them in the spirit of the competition.
I am not a cheater.
"Freakin' nitwit!"
I hope he or she sees this post.

So you finally found a way to make more stories. You plagiarize or resubmit
your own not written in 2008. I've seen a few posts that claim that you are
resubmitting work and haven't seen you refute that claim. To me, that just
means you are a fucking cheater and a liar. I hope you roast in hell.
Now, the Survivor is the closest thing to a contest on this site. You tell me how many writers can write as many stories as I can and still make them interesting enough to read.
Just to clear things up (and this was also posted in the Surivor forum in response to the question there in the FAQ thread)... you cannot count re-posted stories for points in Surivor. Only new & original stories can count for points in the contest. This is clearly stated in rule #8 of the rules post.
Personally, I think the administrators of this site should simply do away with ALL contests. With all the back biting and flaming and, yes, CHEATING, the fun has been sucked out of all of them for everyone. It amazes me that adults will behave this way.
This makes me wonder about something. About a year ago, in respon to a T-girl named Lauren who contacted me, I wrote a story named "Lauren's Hot Date" and posted it here. It was quite well received, including by Lauren, and she asked me to write a whole series, except she has now changed her name to Angel Jones. I have been posting the stories as I finish them, and the latest is Angel 8, which is basically a rewrite of the Lauren story. I changed the female name and the location and added a lot of detail, sexual and otherwise. The new version is almost twice as long as the original. What I wonder about is whether or not this would be considered reposting, because I'm not trying to be sneaky. The first paragraph of the new story says it is an extended version of Lauren.
