I'm a man and I'm straight, but I would kill to know what bisexual women feel like when thinking of, or being with, another woman. Is it the same degree of lust that a woman feels towards men, or is it something totally different? Is it some kind of lust or something more like friendship? Or something that it is utterly impossible to imagine? Or maybe there is no common essence to this feeling, each relationship being different?

Gosh - this is a complex one. The different feelings are very difficult to describe. Personally, when I became actively bisexual, and embraced that side of me, my lust and feelings for female partners were of the same intensity as those I had for men. But although men and women both pressed good buttons for me, they were different buttons. The emotional and sexual textures were different. It depends very, very much on the individual. I've been in a serious lesbian relationship for quite a long time now, and the idea of being with a man seems less and less natural as time passes.

I agree with these posts. I can be just as turned on and lustful with a woman as with a man, but I can be far more tender and loving and sensual for a much longer period of time with a woman than with a man.
