Finally have someone who wants to buy some of my erotic writing so I need a professional name. What do you think of the options? Feel free to suggest others! Thanks. :rose:

1. Etta West
2. Melinda Blush
3. Elaine Demornay
4. Avery Willow
5. Georgia Dean
6. Celeste Lazar

I picked Georgia Dean but as a second choice.

I like Willow Avery instead of Avery Willow. JMO

Etta West sounds like an activist in the 1930's. Pretty cool, but maybe not in this context.

Melinda Blush, Elaine Demornay and Celeste Lazar sound like "look at me, I have an erotica pseudonym!"

Leaves Avery Willow and Georgia Dean. Of which I like the latter best.

I choose Georgia Dean, it sounds plausible, it reads well, and I knew a Georgia who was way hot.

Georgia Dean is okay, but she sounds at least sixty years old.

Avery Willow's my choice. Reminds me of George Sand (Amantine Aurore Lucile Dupin).

I'm with Cealy, I like Willow Avery. I can easily imagine meeting a young woman with that name. ;)
I also like Celeste Lazar-- rhythmic and alliterative.

And this is a bad thing? Don't I want people to pay attention to the name? Sort of... pique their curiosity? I can't imagine that many people would think it's my real name or that almost anyone is out there writing porn under their real name.

Avery Willow or Willow Avery seem to be the most popular choices so far. It sounds good but I don't know if it feels like me. I suppose I'll get over that.

Um, NO! This is not our name, it's yours. Nice that you asked our opinion. But you are going to live with this name and hopefully answer to it at public appearances, and hopefully sign it over and over again.

You NEED it to feel like you...

Ooo, hadn't thought of autographs before Bel mentioned. I don't write capital Ls or little zs in cursive so well. Scratch that one.

see, that's important. My W never looks the same. Weird the things that come up...

When I chose my pen name, the first thing my publisher said was: "Now practice signing it."

Yeah, it's something to think about.

Bel says I have a "cool A" in my autograph. LOL

That was the impression I got from 'Etta West.'
Etta was pretty darn sexy in her days. But I imagine she scared off alot of men, the way she smoked cigars, played pool, drank from the bottle and drove automobiles. Not to mention how she vented her controversial, progressive views to any and all who'd got in the way. But that's the kind of woman that can get a weekly column in the New York Times, so really what did a gentleman expect?

Well, son of a bitch. I went and looked in the mirror and found Elaine Demornay looking back at me. Never would have thought that. Thanks for your input everybody! :rose::kiss::heart:

It was actually a combination of Etta James and an ancestor's name that sounded cool to me. (I don't think my ancestor was all that progressive. She just looked kind of stern in her photo.) Guess I'll use her in a story.
