This article will require some study, but I do draw attention to the very first paragraph:
"Support for Israel in Congress has always been, and remains today strong and bipartisan. Large majorities in Congress and all presidents since Truman, to a greater or lesser degree, have been supportive of a strong US - Israel relationship."
That's simply not true. Until 1967, support in Congress was ambivelant at best. The Congress imposed an arms embargo on Israel that lasted into the early 1960's. During the Eisenhower era, there was no small amount of hostility to Israel. During the 1956 war - the war the Israeli's never talk about, the clear act of territorial aggression launched in cooperation with the French and British - Eisenhower, well aware of Israel's terrorist attacks on the U.S. during the Lavon Affair and enraged by Golda Meir's attempts to align Israel with the Soviet Union during her term as Ambassador there - not without some succes by the way - ordered the Israel's out of the Sinai, "or else!". The Israeli's wisely complied. The Kennedy Administration withheld aid from Israel in opposition to their nuclear site at Dimona. Before the Johnson Administration, Israel's major arms suppliers were first the communist Czech's, then the French. U.S. aid to Israel before 1967 never came to more than $100,000,000/year, which even in 1960's dollars was peanuts.
Even the Truman years are misrepresented. Truman diary entries released only two years ago detail the revulsion and disgust he felt about the Israeli's.
In particular, the socialist, borderline communist policies of Israel as first founded [I know that sounds incredible today, but that's the way it was ]alienated the U.S. Congress, which wasn't interested in helping finance a socialist state, and was leery of any support to countries with Marxist policies of any kind.
With the Johnson Administration, a sea change took place, as the floodgates to American weapons were opened, and it was only in 1967 that the "special relationship" was founded. Even then the complete domination of Congress was not completed until the Carter Administration. Nixon had no small amount of hostility towards Israel, and was ready to let them stew in their own juices during the 1973 war, but Henry Kissenger persuaded him that the defeat of a state armed with American weapons by states armed with Soviet weapons would send the wrong message during the chaos of the end of the Vietnam war. It was only in 1976 that the American Jewish Committee could brag that their hold on Congress was complete.
Wow, this guy REALLY needs to study the Eisenhower years. Peter Novick's book "The Holocaust In American Life" has a good overview of the "whatever" attitude the Congress had during that time.

Note also the slander against Prime Minister Clark – the only reason she would retaliate against Israel is to get domestic political favor. The alternative would be to say that she’s actively protecting her nation against a foreign aggressor, and that has to be glossed over.

But not a single one of them has ever called for the destruction of Israel. The author deliberatly lied about that.
The only Jews who call out for the destruction of Israel are Lubavitchers. Since Israel was not founded by the Messaih, they consider it to be an abomination.

Some Jews (orthodox Jews) do not accept the existence of Israel based on the fact that it was seized by force which apparently violates a passage of the Torah. There is a group called 'Jews not Zionists' and another group of orthodox Jews that firmly believe this.
I think Israel will in future blend quite peacefully into the rest of the Middle East. Jewish culture (if it's right to generalise) shares many similarities with Arab culture, and their history together, previous to modernity was stable.
