Here is my annual SuperBowl Propositions Game:

It’s fun and easy to play! Each proposition has a number assigned to it. Select a number that corresponds to your prediction and “vote” the number of that proposition. We each have 100 “votes.” You may NOT Parlay – all votes are cast prior to Kick-off. You may vote all 100 votes on a single proposition or spread them out as you wish. You need not cast all your votes. Calculate the accuracy of your voting using the parenthetical numbers. For example: Osama wishes to vote 10 of its 100 votes on the Proposition that there will be a Safety in the game. Its vote would be as follows: Proposition 3545 - Win 70 additional points (80 points total for the vote – return ON the successful vote is 70 and the return OF the vote is 10. 70+10=80) since its Proposition is +700. Got it? Okay… one more example: Latrina is going to cast 5 votes on the Proposition that Tom Brady (NE) throws a touchdown pass before he throws an interception. Thus, since Latrina’s Proposition (3660) is a –360 Proposition, her 5-vote ballot would be as follows: Win 1.35 additional points to receive a total of 6.35 votes (since she had to give up 3.60 votes because it was more likely than not that she was right). Alright, alright: one final example for those of you whose parents could not afford to send you to private school: MukTuk is going to cast 5 of his votes on the Proposition that the first scoring play of the game will be a Patriots touchdown pass. Since that is a +180 Proposition (9/2), MukTuk’s vote will read as follows: Proposition 3307 – get 9.0 votes to receive a total of 14.0 votes. If you don’t understand this, don’t ever go to Las Vegas; it you DO go to Las Vegas, just go to the M&Ms and Coca-Cola museums and get back to the hotel before dark.

We each start out with 100 "votes." The winner is the person with the greatest number of votes won at the end of the game.

It's pointless. Math has nothing to do with it.

Pointless? Hmmmm. Well, see, some people enjoy watching football; some people don't. The people who enjoy watching football sometimes like to wager money or "votes" on the outcome of the game or a few of its components. Since we don't gamble on Lit., and since many of us don't care to gamble real money on sports events, this is a way for people to enjoy prognosticating what events might transpire during the contest.

I know this is hard for a Delta, such as yourself, to comprehend so, rather than dissing the thread, take some of your own excellent advice and.... go fuck yourself. Hey! Why not do it today? Who knows; I might even help.

Is that you in the picture?

I play the same kind of football as I do basketball -- sports book league.

Las Vegas, remember?

Yes. Las Vegas.

I was going to Las Vegas and a friend asked me to pick up some cash he won on a bet at some casino in the old downtown. The building was awesome. White marble (if I remember correctly) and old school.

Typical slot machines when I entered the casino, but in the back there was a sport betting section. Monitors everywhere. People were having a good time.

I cashed out the ticket and came back to Denver. The bet was made at the begging of the basketball season and said that the Nuggets would make the playoffs, which they did. Talk about a bet I would never make.

Well played (on his part).

The (World Series) Baseball Futures are out:

Boston Red Sox are 3/1
New York Mets are 6/1

Tampa Bay Devil Rays are 250/1
Pittsburgh Pirates are 150/1

The best bet on the board is the Los Angeles Dodger to win the National Leage Pennant = 6/1
