Do I recall someone saying that "Loving Wives" tends to get trolled a lot? The reason I ask is that I accidentally posted ch3 of Kim, Lynn, & Me to Loving Wives (had meant for it to go elsewhere) and it's gotten slammed in the voting and particularly obnoxious comment. Kinda surprising, but I guess some people need to jerk off mentally when they're not jerking off for real.

I'm probably going to move it, but I was curious if I should start over with the votes and comments when I do or what? (No, I'm not replying to the comment; I don't care to inspire this idiot to slam everything I've written.)

Yes that seem to be the case. These guys are out for blood.

Warning! Danger, Will Robinson! Danger!

A peculiar form of masochist infests that category. They seem to be exclusively men whose SOs weren't 'faithful' and have never forgiven the female gender for that.

They go to the category to feel awful once more and to relieve that feeling by taking a bite out of the authors that post stories there.

Humans.

I'm toying with the idea of making a Loving Wives series next. I've got a character and everything...

'Twould appear so. :) I got slammed on KL&M 03 for, among other things, a stilted style and a "horrible application of the rules of grammar and punctuation."

Geeze, my publishers will really be interested to hear that, I guess.

I've asked that it be switrched to "Erotic Couplings" where it should've gone in the first place.

'They' seem to reckon that the stories are not fiction.

Did they tell you how the story should really finish, and what they would have done?

Luckily "Erotic Couplings" is all-encompassing enough for husband/wife stories to find a good home in.

Nope. Simply that I was the least-talented writer for this site to waste bandwidth on. Hey, recognition for my work at last!!! :D

Keep checking. I'm sure there will be lots of suggestions. The most common being 'I hope the slut dies' or something along those lines. Second most common is 'Get the slut pregnant' or something along those lines.

I'd love to be a telepath and rummage around in those minds. ;)

Oh god NO! But if you do read my story Oh Crap! it's about a LW troll. :D

I got rather good responses, for the most part, on the only story I posted there. I think, though, that it was because the story I led mine off of was so infuriating to so many of them. It bothered me, too, which is why I wrote what I did. Soooo . . . if you're going to post a story in LW and don't want to get eaten alive have the wife remain faithful and have the husband get revenge on the villain who is trying to seduce her. Add some humor and they'll love you . . . except for one particular jerk calling himself "Risq" who seems to want the husband cuckolded by a conspiracy of the rich and powerful. Go figure.

It's kind of funny that I found this topic because I was actually going to post something tonight about this exact topic. I think it's absolutely hysterical that people troll that page and leave nasty comments about people's stories because a character in the story does something that the poster doesn't agree with. You pretty much know when you see some of the descriptions that characters cheat. But yet you get the people who refer to these characters as whores and sluts. It makes absolutely no sense to me that people stupid sometimes. If you are offended by "cheating stories" then here's an idea, don't read them. I don't like bonadage stories, so I don't read them. And I definitely don't go trashing someone else's work because of it. I actually find great humor in some of the comments people have left me for my loving wives stories. LOL. Then again, I can be twisted

I have plans for a LW story. I fancy giving the hornet's nest a kick. :)

I expect my next story to post to be another in my Angel series. :D The one after that might be in the LW category. In this one, she and her husband are swingers, and it probably won't be trearted so badly.

At the same time, if you write a story where the husband gets revenge, you are likely to be bombed as a sexist pig. Even if you're a woman.

Hah--the lowest story score I ever received was for a LW story in the Xmas'07 contest.

The wife ran off with her lover and the husband got his ass kicked.

Talk about pissing on the altar! Hate mail and 1-Bombs galore!

What a revelation! I was warned and chose to ignore it.

But I really rattled some cages! :D

Well, the story got moved over to Group Sex and >poof< I had 5000+ reads and 9 5.0 votes. Heckuva deal, that! :)

I've been so inspired that I'm actually doing a little work on Chapter 4. I'd left it at about 13,800 words back in September and I'm now picking it up again. I haven't got a conclusion in mind for it yet, but it's probably half a dozen pages away. Be nice to be done with it; it's just dragged >ON< for a long time.

The next story that I submit will be in LW. It might not be all that bad, because it is about swingers, with everybody having fun. Magement might even put it in group sex.

I bet they will move it. My latest story is at the editor's right now and I still haven't figured out where to put it. Since everyone is chiming in with advice, could you give me a hand with this? The story is about two couples. The wife of the younger one tries to get a swap party started with the older one, her husband backs out then, for completely non-related reasons, attempts suicide. The older couple rides to the rescue and they all end up living happily together. Now, is that Romance? Group Sex? It has too many participants to be Erotic Couplings and no one is cheating so LW is out. Where does the damned thing go?

Novels and Novellas? How long is it?

I've often had that same issue. Where does it go? Too many elements to be pigeon-holed, so I normally chose romance. Good luck.

I don't think I have the patience to write a novel or a novella. This one's about four pages in published format. I've been guessing Romance myself if only because the Group Sex people don't seem to read my stuff and never comment on anything I've put there. Points, hell! I want comment!

I think you mean "constructive" comment. There is a difference, you know.
