Stretching a womans Urethra
My friend wants me to help stretch her urethra to the point where she can have a penis inserted in it. I had seen a urethra strecher in a photo. It was 2 halves with a spring or some sort of device to spread the halves while it was inserted. Does anyone know where to get one?

It sounds like a speculum, but I wouldn't put one of those in a urethra. For one thing, I don't think you could even with an anal speculum, without significant stretching beforehand.
Your friend should know that it is extremely dangerous to have a penis in her urethra. She is going to have to get used to having painful bladder infections at all times. The urethra is supposed to be a one-way channel, and putting something dirty (like a penis) into it is just begging for trouble. In women the urethra just isn't long enough to contain a penis, so it will enter her bladder, which is supposed to be completely sterile.
However, it is possible to do what she's talking about. Amazing Ty has a large section on urethral insertions, and reportedly she gets a penis up there. (I haven't bought a membership, so I don't know for sure.) However, I would say that Amazing Ty has unique anatomy. She can do things with her genitals that very few other women can do. Has your friend even tried sounding yet? She may find that once she gets something up there, the fantasy is very different from the reality. Female sounding is nowhere NEAR as common as male sounding, and there's not a lot of information about it. As an example, BME's pages about sounding (membership required, I have one) have 1,273 pictures of male sounding...and 99 pictures of female sounding.
It's possible for some women to get huge things in their urethra, but it is extremely dangerous unless you have practiced proper sterilization techniques. I would suggest doing a LOT of research - maybe even e-mail Amazing Ty for advice - before getting into this.

My friend is quite aware of the hazards invloved. But she is a very adventurous woman and this is one of her dreams. She is not interested in paying to see other women do it. Just advice where to get a stretcher. It's not a speculum. Or whatever you mentioned.
It is about the width of a pencil, split down the middle with a spring between the halves or some other way to spread it once inserted.

Sounds to me like a Stein's speculum, actually. Pencil-like, with a spring to spread the halves.
If it were me, I'd want to see ALL the possibilities before performing a stunt like this one. But hey, that's me.
If she wants you to find out about getting rid of chronic bladder infections, that's the How-To board.

I've done sounding. I've gotten the tip of my pinky in my urethra when i was really into it. You really have to be cleancleanclean and even that won't stop a UTI. Urethra's don't stretch like a vagina or anus. Their muscles are much smaller and tighter and the tissue is extremely sensitive. Even to be able to insert a pencil sized object takes a lot to work up to, let along potentially "springing" said pencil open.
As for the "watching other women do it" Rally, watching other women isn't there to get her off but rather to educate her on their methods/triumphs/mistakes so her experience is better.

There is a tool/instrument called a nasal speculum. They are available in a variety of sizes. They are available in stainless steel for cleaning and disinfection. They normally have slightly rounded pointy tips. Whether male or female you might find that tool useful for stretching.
There are also sounds available (stainless steel again) that have a bulb on the end instead of being a uniform thickness the length of the sound. More than one small sound may be inserted and then the sounds may be manipulated to gently stretch the urethra opening.
I have found that a woman often goes completely wild when her orgasm is enhanced by urethral stimulation, whether through external stimulation or through penetration. Not being a woman, I can't say what it feels like. Being the artist painting on that canvas, I can attest to the fact, based on the woman's reaction, of a major increase in stimulation and intensity.

Actually, a nasal speculum might be good because they do come in fairly short depths. However, they are also VERY big compared to a woman's urethra. I'd be cautious with one of those.

I've read from sites and boards about various objects being inserted into the urethra such as sounds, catheters, candles, thermometers, etc. One suggestion which caught my interest was inserting beads into the urethra. I've wanted to try it out myself but the idea of it going in too deep and getting stuck always kept me from doing so. So I thought that it might not be as much of a problem if the object to be inserted would be soluble such as, say, sugar-free mint, and it probably wouldn't be much different from a suppository. I'm still wondering though if there would be any negative effects in the event that it goes beyond the urethral sphincter and since I have yet to come across any article or post which mentions anything similar, perhaps somebody more knowledgeable here would be able to offer advice or warnings?

I expect those mints will burn like hell - whenever I do insertion play my urethra burns when I pee so the oil flavoring in the mint will be felt. I have gotten to where I sorta enjoy the burn from that first pee so the sensation from the mint might not be a problem. If you do try please let me know how it felt before I try.
Regarding use of lube, some people may have been lucky to get away with using no lube, saliva, vaseline or who knows what; but they're lucky (and no, none of these are sterile). This isn't intended to be a commercial but I'd highly recommend using something like Surgilube. It's available without a prescription at some drugstores. You're inviting an infection otherwise and this kind of infection is no fun.

I guess it depends on one's sensitivity level. I finally gave it a shot and it didn't burn as bad as expected and the cool sensation is quite different from simply being "occupied" by something. Since the stuff that I used were pretty sterile (washed, boiled, soaked in alcohol, and/or fresh out of sterile packaging), I thought that I might as well push through with it and push it all the way into the bladder. Things got more interesting upon hitting the urethral sphincter and the urge to go was pretty intense even after the catheter was pulled out. I don't think it's actually possible to hold it back once the mint has been pushed in and it takes a while to regain full control of the bladder afterwards but I found the sensation rather enjoyable.
The mint candy that I used were spherical in shape, about 6-8mm across and sugarfree. Dropped 5 pieces into a glass of water at room temperature and they were gone in an hour or so, so I guess 1 in the bladder shouldn't take too long to dissolve (supposing it wasn't washed out in the initial flow).

I'd advise you start with Hegar Dilators, then move to some larger stuff like a 3-prong speculum. I would not advise somethind that stretches one side more than the other (like a 2 blade speculum), you get more weight distribution with 3.
