While we're all probably still recovering from the holidays in one form or another, there's been interest in doing a similar exchange for Valentine's Day. It's very appropriate given all of the sexy fun and love we share, and if all goes well, it'll likely become our primary exchange in the future, since Jan/Feb is typically a less busy and stressful time all around for most of us. Whether you participated in our Secret Santa exchange or not, come join us for the start of a new tradition! The poll will close on, and you need to get me your info by January 20th (but please don't wait until the last minute to do so). We'll choose numbers and ou'll get your recipient's info in the following days so you'll have about 3 weeks to make sure your arrow hits its target.
What We're Doing:
Sending each other a Valentine's Day card/valentine and/or gift in secret so it'll arrive by February 14th.
By voting in the poll, you're committing to sending at least a Valentine (card) of some kind by the deadline, but small gifts are very welcome in addition to, or instead of, the Valentine.
Cards and gifts can be store-bought, homemade or something you already have, but please limit any purchases to $15 or less, excluding shipping (though keep in mind that cost when you're choosing a gift!). Use your imagination...have you been longing to make homemade valentines, special treats, decorations, share something that represents Valentine's Day to you, or kiss your recipient with something that will spice up their love life? Well, here's your chance to get creative, have fun and make someone feel great!
The Plan:
If you are interested in sending another HT'er a valentine card and/or gift, please read on, vote in the poll, add your thoughts here, and send me your name, address and the answers to the questions* below.
***Even if you sent me your info for the SS thing, please re-send it for this, too, so I can just copy it into a new document and have your latest preferences. Thanks!

Questions
(These answers will help those who choose to send gifts send you something you're likely to enjoy! Some of them are a repeat from Christmas, but the list has been changed and you may want to think about V-Day, sex, love, or season specific.):
- Name and Address:
- Allergies, including food, metal, latex, lubes, etc.:
- Do you have any dietary requirements aside from allergies (eg. vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher, low sugar/carb, watching your weight, etc.)?
- Favorite color(s):
- Shirt size (men's or women's S, M, L, XL, XXL, etc.):
- Hobbies:
- Music preferences (you might think about mood-enhancing music here
):
- Favorite and repulsive scents:
- Level of Sexual Innuendo Allowed in your gift (none/some/XXX):
- Sex-oriented interests, curiosities, things that make you feel sexy or are a turn-off, problems with ingredients/materials that might be sent as sexy gifts:
- Other (favorites, ideas, wants, hates etc):
- Please indicate if you are unable to send stuff overseas or are uncomfortable w/ anyone on the list (otherwise, I'll assume you're fine with both):
2) I'll assign everyone on the list a number secretly.
3) Each participant chooses a different number, and posts the number so others know it's covered (e.g., you might post, "I'll take #4," and upon seeing you've already chosen #4, I might post "I'll take #8")
4) I'll give the address and preferences that correspond to the chosen number to the person who picked it.
5) Everyone sends their card and/or gift to the address they've been given in time for it to arrive by February 14th.
6) Starting on a day after everyone's opened their gifts (e.g., Feb. 17th), the participants share their excitement and what they got on the board.
7)The Secret Cupids can choose whether they want to reveal themselves to their recipient after everyone's opened their gifts. Whether you reveal, or not, is strictly up to you as the giver.
***Privacy Issues: Only two people will get your address if you participate: me, and your Secret Cupid. Ideally, you need to give your name as well (in case there's a mistake in the address, or you don't live alone), but you could give your first initial and last name, or chance it with your first name and last initial.
There's always a risk with this kind of thing, but the other boards have done exchanges successfully for years, and there's less of a risk because no one gets to choose who they want to send stuff to (remember, only the organizer knows who's associated with each number). I'm going to trust my instincts and I'm not going to give an address out to someone who doesn't appear to be legit or who I just have a bad feeling about. I doubt we'll get anyone like that, but it's something I want to have a plan for, just in case.
If there's someone on the master list YOU don't want your address going to, let me know via PM, and I'll make sure that person doesn't receive your address. I want everyone who wants to participate to feel as safe as possible doing so.
What will likely happen, is we'll end up with a list of people we know well from here and would probably give our addys to all of them, anyway. There are MANY people here I'd feel comfortable sharing my info with because we've shared a lot of our lives with each other over the years. HT tends attract higher quality people, IMO, and while that's no guarantee of safety, it does provide me with some measure of reassurance.
We don't have much time, and I'll add to this post as I get more info, so please check back frequently.
