A great deal less so these days, especially when all medical evidence proves his theories on why people are, oh, gay, schizophrenic and such to be completely wrong (hint: it's not because of anything their mothers or fathers did to them). But he's still got a historical cache because he got western civilization to understand that there ought to be doctors out there who specialize in and help folk with psychological problems.
