Who's had one? And other than cry, how did you react?
You see, I came close the last time I went to the hairdresser's. The cut she gave me was just different from every other cut I've had from her. She did it quickly, she was talking to several people at the time... and I just knew that even when I played with it myself, it wouldn't look right.
So I had a smoke, considered my options, then sat down in front of my mirror at home with a pair of scissors and had a go myself. And do you know what I discovered? Hairdressing isn't as easy as it looks. My layers on one side are a good inch shorter than the layers on the other side, and I just know my hairdresser's going to notice when I go there today.
I'm just wondering what I should tell her. She's cut my hair perfectly for years, and I don't really want to tell her that she did a mediocre job last time, and I hacked away and made it worse.
My options at the moment are:
a) Say nothing and feign ignorance. Maybe she'll think she did it herself...
b) Blame it on my 2 year old nephew.
c) Pretend that something got stuck in my hair and that's the reason I cut it.
But there's a problem with c), because my handiwork covers quite a large area. The only thing big enough to get stuck in my hair would be a waxing strip, and I'm not really sure how I could be waxing my legs and end up with wax in my hair.
This is the reason I haven't been to the hairdresser's in nearly three months...
