This is a thread for people who find themselves with random, inexplicable injuries - like me and my chafed nipples.

I woke up with them this morning. No idea how I got them, though

I used to have a t-shirt that gave me chafed my nipples whenever I wore it without a bra. But I had a bra on all day yesterday. And I don't remember doing any running, or jogging, or jumping up and down either.

And I've haven't done anything kinky with nipple clamps or anything similar for at least 48 hours.

I did sleep naked last night, though - and I have a new wool sheet on the bed that's been making me wake up in a sweat. I'm wondering if I tried polishing my nipples with the sheet in my sleep, or something...

Either that or I was kidnapped and taken to a secret harem of lesbians overnight...

Is nipple-polishing something that's so second nature to you that you can do it in your sleep?

On a related note, I woke up with a q-tip in my ear some days ago. I don't want to think about what could have happened, had I turned over in my sleep.

I have a cut on my right second finger with NO idea how it got there. Its either a papercut or a knife one from emptying the dishwasher...

This one isn't so much an inexplicable injury, as it is the circumstances regarding the injury.

3 years ago I decided that I wanted a new bed frame. But I wasn't able to find what I wanted in the stores. So I decided to build it myself. And it came out great. Now, I happen to be a fairly accident prone individual. And everyone was skeptical when I mentioned my little project.... Making little comments like, "Oh God... Do I need to start donating blood, now? Or do you just want a transfusion when the time comes?" Well... To everyone's surprise (admittedly, even my own), the crafting of the bed went perfectly fine, and without incident. But it was on December 18, 2004, during the Assembly of said bed, when I nearly completely severed a tendon in my left pinkie (it was a 90% tear), and wound up in a hand splint for 2 months.

It has been 3 years and 3 moves since that incident. And yesterday, December 8th, 2007... during the assembly of the Same bed... In the Exact Same Corner I was working on when I tore my tendon... I had another accident... The good news is that this time there was something between the corner of the steel bed frame and my hand... The bad news is that it was my face. I'm starting to think this thing has something against me.

There was a lot of blood and my mother was crying... But I'm ok... I have a tiny little battle wound on the bridge of my nose. I'm just not sure that when I move again, I'll be taking the bed with me... or maybe I'll just hire someone else to put it together from now on.

I have a scar on my right shin that's about an inch and a half long, and looks like it was a fairly nasty cut when it happened.

I have absolutely no idea how it got there. I remember it hurting the next day, but have no memory whatsoever of what in the hell I did to get cut.

of course, if you take into consideration that I was in college at the time, and at a fraternity party the night before, I suppose it's not all that surprising that I don't know how I hurt myself.

I have a major bruise on my hand. It's blue and swollen. This has happened several times before.

No idea what the hell it's from.

I get cuts, bruises and marks on my legs, from hip to heel, all the time. I figure it's from bumping into things during my usual hectic workday at the restaurant. I don't have much feeling in my legs, probably due to the blood clots. I see that as something of a double-edged sword.

Today, however, I somehow managed to slash my left thumb open, from tip to first knuckle. Didn't even notice it until I set a bottle of wine on a table before my guests and saw the bloody fingerprint I left behind. Good thing they didn't notice. ;)

It's fine, now. My wounds close quickly. Not much but a dark red line on my thumb. Still no idea how I cut myself.

However, what I really want to know is how, sometimes, the head of my penis will chafe, presumably against the fabric of my slacks, yet I wear the same damn slacks every day . . . .

... but apparently you were on your knees at the time.

It's called an erection. Males get them now and then.

I went for a bone density scan when I was about 30 - the kind where they do a really slow, painstaking series of images of your right hand and wrist. About ten minutes into the scan, the grad student conducting it called the doctor over and started pointing at the screen. After fifteen minutes they were both gesturing at the screen and banging on the side of their monitor. After twenty minutes, the doctor came onto the intercom and asked me how many times I had broken a finger or a bone in my hand.

"Four or five times," I said, and explained that I had played a lot of sports where hand injuries were common (boxing, sailing, ice hockey, rugby...)

"Ok," he said. "We're at 12 breaks and counting..."

The total came in at 14. On one hand.

About a week later, the first paper about the effects of micro-strokes caused by blows to the head was published. My sporting choices from ages 15-30 appear to have had the effect of knocking off several IQ points, although I always know when it's going to rain... Not the best trade going, I'll admit.

I tend to wake up with fingerprint like bruises on the inside of my thighs. Even when we havent been kinky. I dont know if I have a phantom lover or what but geesh they need to go easy with the delicate skin:eek:
