This is the story of my time on Lit (what's yours?)

🥳🎈Today is my 3 year literversary🎈🥳

When I started Lit 3 years ago, I was broken. My husband of 25 years had very recently passed away, and I was lost. I had been on lit one other time in 2015 briefly under a different name, so I was familiar with the stories area.
In 2021, I first found the chat rooms area.
Then the forums.
I met a great man that was also a widow(er)
And we chatted for a year.
I also met a man who was a very big part of my lit experience, a Daddy Dom.
He encouraged my writing, so I began writing erotica again after many years hiatus.
That dynamic was powerful and lasted over 2 years.
This summer I befriended on Lit another great person...a female, who I find amazing.
In my life now, is a great man that snuck into my DMs this summer in a positive way, and has become a wonderful addition to my mornings, noons and evenings!!

Currently I'm going to continue my erotica, and continue my friendships...

Hope your time on lit has been amazing too!!

My story began about 20 years ago I stumbled on the forums out of the chat rooms. I decided I was tired of re introducing myself to people every single time I chatted, so I put up an add in the personals and for the longest time I was in and out and never really found anyone that stuck. (which is the norm)

Lo and behold one day I started talking to someone, not really expecting much and things went well so we moved offline and I never looked back to lit. We stayed in touch, sometimes frequently other times no so frequent for 8 years. Fast forward and few years ago she got sick and things didn't go well and she was facing a long recovery and her messages began to grow more sparse, until she finally messaged me to say she realized how important her family was and that she wanted to focus on getting better and making the best with those who were physically in her life. (I get that)

So I thought I was done, however stress is catching up with me and I need a pleasant distraction. An 8 year friend may be hard to find again, but stranger things have happened I suppose.

From just a very brief stay in the present it seems that things here are not as robust as they used to be, I see many many more men here and the ladies who are interactive seem fewer in numbers.

Read the stories at bedtime.
Found out a lot of nice/weird/kinky people on here that gave me a better appreciation of sexuality.
Got encouragement to explore my Bi side
Endured a bit of grief that caused me to take long breaks.
Missing my old friends that don't seem to be on here anymore.

It's 13 years next month. Sheesh
Started out in college, freshman year, I read the stories and enjoyed some time.
Made an account, despite having no sexual experiences.
Learned a lot about things, like D/s relationships.
Began to realize that yes I do like dominating, and it became a focus for me.
Met a lot of amazing women, who taught me about love and loss, and sex.
Continued to grow and learn and develop amazing friendships.
Keep attempting to quit and keep coming back because the people here are far more real than some I meet offline.
Now I'm kind of just here, and honestly enjoying every moment.
Will I be here in 13 more years, probably.

I started back in June, though I had created my profile before then. I had a story I wanted to write so I spent a lot of time writing while I was out of work following a surgery to repair two hernias. I've gained a small audience and my chapters get good ratings, which I'm thankful for.

I've only started posting in the forum in the last week. I post mostly for fun, if I have something to say in certain threads.

Nothing like resurrecting an old thread.

I can on board after running across a fantastic story that featured twin sisters. Through the years I’ve posted, chatted, had really good friends that fell by the wayside, ghosted, & have been ghosted. The last time I was here a connection happened quickly, this go has been really tough. Someone suggested I stick it out and so I will.

being new, i find some of these stories from longtime users of [lit] to be very interesting/useful.
i'd like to share some of my observations and get some feedback, but this thread seems to be dead.

I joined lit In June to publish. My first story was well received and generated comments & PMs n the first week. It was published.

Weeks later, I published my second story which took a lot more work and was even better received, But again only generated activity for the the first week.

In both cases I was briefly Inundated with a lot of Chat requests. Most hadn't read my story. I wondered if someone was maintaining a list of women allowing guys to see when a new woman has joined.

I became active again in October In hopes of publishing my third story, But instead I became much more active in the public threads and private chats.

I realized that. Most people are not actually reading stories but are here for online social media experience. I've grown to love it also.

I do think it would be useful If there was a way for the women of lit to support each other In addition to PMs.

There’s the Safe Place for Women to Share thread here. It’s open to anyone to read, but they’re pretty good at policing it so it’s only women posting.
