Are you a famous person? Do you know any famous people?

I’m not anything close to famous but I went to high school with MLB Hall of Fame inductee Fred McGriff. We’re friends and I’m also friends with MLB Allstars Gary Sheffield & Tino Martinez. Tino also went to high school with me.

I'm not famous.

I don't even know many famous people. I went to elementary school with Tony Hawk (he was a few grades ahead of me but I knew who he was, of course, he wasn't famous then). I've met some well know politicians while volunteering on campaigns over the years but didn't really know them. I've met a few ex-porn stars at strip clubs and a girl who was in Playboy, but I don't really count that. Our neighbor was a Major League baseball player when I was a kid. I'm thinking of others, and don't really know that many.

How about others? Are you a celebrity? If not have you have famous friends, or even just met any famous people?
No and yes.

I was doing local TV news and was recognized occasionally. You learned to be on your best behavior in public. Really. Neighbors weren't too impressed. An old guy I ran into often while while walking the dog always complained to me about news stuff ("Too much chit-chat").

I have met:
Bob Hope
Walter Cronkite
Charles Kuralt (if you are old enough to recall him...old CBS guy)
Jimmy Stewart (very nice guy)
Robert Duvall (kindof)
Gene Hackman (kindof)
Regis Philbin (nice guy)
Little Richard.

Car guys: Carroll Shelby, Jim Hall, Phil Hill, Dan Gurney, a Indy 500 winner, Chip Foose, George Barris, Dave Kindig.
Sports stars..Rosey Grier, Sal Bando, Billy Martin, Ken Rosewall.
Many politicians, military (I literally ran into a Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon), famous aces, medal of honor recipients, astronauts.
I met the niece of the Wright Brothers...she was old enough to really remember them as a kid and later as an adult.
One of the doctors who tried to save JFK in Dallas.
Haven't met a president but saw Clinton up close twice. Also, Nixon and Bush senior at a slight distance.
My SiL met King Charles at a party, a friend received an award from Queen Elizabeth.

A friend's son was a soap opera heartthrob.

I am not famous, although I had my 15 minutes at one time, couple producer credits and a couple of quasi-famous art works and designs. This was all pre-transition mind you. My partner is very famous in niche video game circles. I am friends/acquaintances with a few famous people. Was funny seeing 2 of them shell shocked at seeing each other a few years ago at a dinner get together.

I'm not famous but an Asian hotwife I play with has a Wikipedia entry and makes the news in her homeland often due to her job.

And no, no one would ever guess she's a hotwife and has been for over a decade.

I am not famous but I have met a lot of bands and some actors/actresses. Still friends with a couple band members from various bands.
And no I'm not a groupie.

I've met a few famous musicians, even got on tech n9nes tour bus and chatted with him and kutt calhoun and krizz kaliko. I also used to party with chuck grassleys granddaughter and fucked her a few times. Saw kid rock at a fast food place once and spent the whole time picturing myself making the world a better place by removing him from it.

In my brief professional journalism career I met or interviewed a number of famous people like former NBA star Dan Issel, sportscaster Jim McKay, KFC's Colonel Harlan Sanders, Muhammad Ali, and Denver Bronco and Oakland Raiders' linebacker Lyle Alzado.

In my brief political career, I worked in the same county legislative body alongside Mitch McConnell several years prior to his election to Congress.

My most delightful brush with celebrity greatness, however, was as a college journalism student. I was backstage prior to a musical concert featuring Mason Williams ("Classical Gas") and Jennifer Warnes ("Up Where We Belong"; "Right Time of the Night") trying to scope out some possible shooting angles from the wings. Suddenly, the lovely Miss Warnes appears directly behind me whispering in my ear. Did I happen to know which of the cluster of microphones at front stage center was hers? Well, of course, I had no frigging idea, which I managed to eventually mumble out, but not before inhaling her boner-inducing fragrance as if it was the last breath of air I was ever going to take.

At the time, I had no idea she was lezbo so I constructed some pleasant fapping fantasies for the rest of that school year.
There's a difference between "know" and "met"

I am not famous, I know people who are or were. Mainly musicians, architects, artists and academics.
I’ve met others. I wouldn’t want to be famous.

The only really famous person I knew was Clyde Beatty the wild animal tamer. Very nice guy. Gave me some pointers about controlling lions and tigers. For instance, if you got a pissed off tiger crack a whip or shoot a pistol or jab with a chair, big cats have like no memory, and loud noise and sudden pain wipes out their minds.
No idea who Clyde Beatty is / was, but from his above advice I presume he used to work in a circus...

My distant cousin was a member of well known band.

My family is friends with a former Heisman Trophy winner who I get to call Uncle (not in a creepy way).

My Dad knows a lot of sports celebrities who I’ve met and wasn’t really impressed. Being good at sports makes a lot of these guys kind of act like dicks.

If I ever have the opportunity to be famous, I’ll decline.
