I'm not famous.

I don't even know many famous people. I went to elementary school with Tony Hawk (he was a few grades ahead of me but I knew who he was, of course, he wasn't famous then). I've met some well know politicians while volunteering on campaigns over the years but didn't really know them. I've met a few ex-porn stars at strip clubs and a girl who was in Playboy, but I don't really count that. Our neighbor was a Major League baseball player when I was a kid. I'm thinking of others, and don't really know that many.

How about others? Are you a celebrity? If not have you have famous friends, or even just met any famous people?

I once had a picture taken with Mark Sanford, before he went hiking the Appalachian trail. Does that count?

no and all the famous people i've met barely count. i did live with a guy who got punched by jimmy fallon in high school, though. i'm pretty sure he deserved it.

I know Abi Morgan, the chick that wrote the Thatcher movie.

Met a few famous sorts but the most refreshing thing I find is that most are more fucked up than myself.
Yes, do have another shot. On me.

The only really famous person I knew was Clyde Beatty the wild animal tamer. Very nice guy. Gave me some pointers about controlling lions and tigers. For instance, if you got a pissed off tiger crack a whip or shoot a pistol or jab with a chair, big cats have like no memory, and loud noise and sudden pain wipes out their minds.

I forgot, an ex-girlfriend's friend's dad was a famous horse jockey, mainly at Santa Anita but he had raced in the Kentucky Derby a few times. Hung out at his table at a couple of Quinceanera's she dragged me to.

Others I can remember, lets see. I almost ran into Ron Jeremy, literally, at a club in Vegas once. Shook hands with Jean-Marie LePen at the Jeanne d'Arc festival in Paris in 1993(well ok, that's an exaggeration, I did try to push up to shake his hand but didn't get close enough). I went to high school with some of the people who went on to be in Unwritten Law. Oh, yeah, met Waddie from Exploited after a show in 1988 I think. So, I guess i have met more celebs than I realized.

I've made it a mission to be neither famous or infamous.

So far luck has had more to do with it than skill.:)

Know of any?

Probably if I thought of it long enough. I'm not easily impressed.

I'm more of the "Yeah, well...we all have our burdens to bear." type of person.

No and Yes.

Too many to mention, but have met many actors and athletes throughout the years. Two actors have kept in touch with me since my move to Omaha, but I notice a lot of those I have met on TV these days.

In some quarters I am considered infamous but no famous.

Dubai is the playground for the rich and celebrities. Know and met are not the same. I have played golf with several celebrities so I can say I met them but would not claim intimate knowledge.

The only time I ever been star struck was when I met Don Rickles which by the way is his real name.

Being a groupie doesn't count. :)

Just kidding, that's cool.

My GG grandmother, whose name was Susannah McCormick was the sister of Cyrus Hall McCormick, the inventer of the reaper.

Not to be confused with the grim reaper...........

In my brief professional journalism career I met or interviewed a number of famous people like former NBA star Dan Issel, sportscaster Jim McKay, KFC's Colonel Harlan Sanders, Muhammad Ali, and Denver Bronco and Oakland Raiders' linebacker Lyle Alzado.

In my brief political career, I worked in the same county legislative body alongside Mitch McConnell several years prior to his election to Congress.

My most delightful brush with celebrity greatness, however, was as a college journalism student. I was backstage prior to a musical concert featuring Mason Williams ("Classical Gas") and Jennifer Warnes ("Up Where We Belong"; "Right Time of the Night") trying to scope out some possible shooting angles from the wings. Suddenly, the lovely Miss Warnes appears directly behind me whispering in my ear. Did I happen to know which of the cluster of microphones at front stage center was hers? Well, of course, I had no frigging idea, which I managed to eventually mumble out, but not before inhaling her boner-inducing fragrance as if it was the last breath of air I was ever going to take.

At the time, I had no idea she was lezbo so I constructed some pleasant fapping fantasies for the rest of that school year.

After thinking about it, one of our oldest family friends is a novelist and one of his books was made into a movie starring Jennifer Lopez. I don't know if that really counts as "famous" though...

I know a few but most are through my military career and are military people or politicians.

Hah! Myself as well. While serving on Submarines, I shook hands with Presidents Reagan, and then Vice-President Bush Sr.

I also shook hands with former President Jimmy Carter (former submariner himself) and was allowed the honor of briefly explaining the process of electrolysis in converting seawater to fresh water. Very kind and humble man.

Perhaps the greatest week of my military service, was prior to meeting any of the above. I received my 'Dolphin' award on a Monday and then assigned TAD to the retired Admiral Hyman Rickover temporary staff at General Dynamics on Tuesday. Rickover was the legend of legends in the Navy in the 80s. I actually requested permission from his aide to shake hands with Rickover, which made Rickover laugh, and he did so happily. He was a mean, passionate, old cuss. Being such a young lad then, I had diarrhea that whole week from being so nervous around him. Mr. Rickover died almost a year to the day I met him.

Long time friend of the family is actor Larry Wilcox (Chips). Also, good friend of mine is a fella named Dave Amato (REO Speedwagon).

Would love to say who I am. But I want to see how every day guys are treated on this site and don't want my PMs to blow up if revealed.
Hey we all have our cross to bear. 😎
