I’m with you guys. My dad and I could be really contentious at times. He was not an easy or simple guy. But he was smart as the day is long.Amen. I second Boat’s thoughts on this. Lost mine in ‘21 and you go through all the stages. Then you remember the good times…it takes time to heal.
“Well… isn’t that special…”Good Morning Sinners

Sounds amazing! This is the first year we have enough. The first trees in are really starting to produce now. It wasn't that long ago, we had enough to make one pie.
When the rest of the 25 trees get rolling...
Let's just say that will be a different problem! And I'll be less worried about how many the mobile venison machines get. Hopefully we'll be set up for cider by that point, too.
Trees are wonderful.Caught up.
Now it's time to start knocking trees over before they knock over the spare house. It is amazing how many people love shade trees, but don't know how much damage they can do when they decide to retire. Best to give them a forced retirement.
Hope you all have a great Sunday.
Yummy!!At mom and dads cooking. Chicken and dumpling chicken pot pie mash up soup and hamburger stroganoff
May stew some apples too
Sounds like it was great trip. I’d say it’s a home run, but maybe a hat trick is the better analogy!Well, travelling down to England was a success on Friday. My talk went down well and I had a great night with 65 other hunters. The following day they took me out on their marshes and I managed to shoot three geese. More than that it was a fabulous flight with glorious sunrise and thousands of geese on the move… fabulous!
Sounds like a great time for the young uns and the not as young uns!Back from the Halloween gig in downtown. It had a large turnout and the merchants handing out goodies. They closed off Main Street and that made walking easier with the crowds. The grandkids had a fabulous time.
The cool air meant I had that nap when I got home. I am going to do more things with my grandson this week too.
My Detroit team is off today so caught I caught up on the Eagles and Ravens.
And eat some apples. I heard it keeps the doctors away![]()
Mrs wonderer got a good laugh outta this.
Would like to see that drive through an intersection.
I guess it all depends on the relationship or something. My dad could be a bit much, but he was always supportive, and got a new gun for me when he thought I had a new guyI lost Dad in 2004 and it was Meh then and it's Meh now.
I lost my grandfather in 1981 and I think of him several times a week.
I lost Calypso 27 months ago and think of him daily.
Make of that what you will . . . .

I haven't shot a gun since I was young.
Strangely, he didn’t want me to see violent tv or films, but R rated were fine as long as there was no violence.
That stuff would be deadly to me. Drink lots and lots of water....Just finished off the last of last years blackstrap. Anyone got a wash it down with recommendation
It's probably a fairly good job with some risk to it but also with relatively good pay. You do it to keep your Goddess in a lifestyle commensurate with your love for her! Thanks for the hugs!
It's not all bad, but sometimes I don't know why I do what I do.... I've been asked how I got into this and I really don't know.
I've replied "I don't know, maybe it was a stupid, drunk, high thing to do."![]()
I lost mine 40 years ago and still miss him every day! Sometimes a Dad-ism will pop into my head making me smile.I promise You that it does get a bit easier... I lost mine in 2019 and still miss him, but every time I think of him it's good memories that bring a smile to my face.
Thank you!It's beautiful! Good job!
Stay safe out there, Boat!Hello! I'm up, doing rig transfers, about to get hit by a squall.
How are you?
I love it! A way to keep tabs on your aging parent without having to move in.Yep.i monitored them from400 miles away. It’s in almost every room but not all has video. I also have Alexa emergency so they can call for help from any where in the house and it contacts 911. It’s pretty slick. I also have ring door bells and cams connected to it all and a couple blink ones. They can listen to Amazon music, check the temp in their rooms, call any of their children via Alexa. I might be pushing the tech a bit but why not?
That sounds fun! Ppl can be so creative this time of year!Oh yeah. Well... therecwere some cute costumes!!
A family came as a carnival family. Think the muscle man, trapeze artist etc
There was a baby dressed like a dinasaur and they dressed her wagon up like jurassic park
Guns?Hmmm, not car parts today.
