Not the 3 am club and did make it to 4 before old dog needed to go out. I will take another nap. I learned how to nap in an airplane many times on business trips. They should only be for about a half hour.

Yesterday recap- all went as planned. And today is grandchildren in town for noon Halloween parade. I love my granddaughter’s costume.

Yesterday was firewood day. I had to fill up nearly all of our firewood bins at the farm stand. Sold a lot last week.

Then I mowed the lawn. It needed it.

Visited my friend in rehab hospital. He’s really not doing great. I’m not sure how he’s gonna function when he gets back. It’s tough to see. I’m hoping he can get some home health help.

Went to our neighbors for a Halloween party. I didn’t make a costume. I know… lame.

One couple was Mr and Mrs roper (from 3s company), a dinaosaur couple, Milo from the descendants album logo, a human fly (cute not gross).

Today I’m gonna try to get most of my the solar kiln all framed out. I got the base and floor made last weekend.

Back from the Halloween gig in downtown. It had a large turnout and the merchants handing out goodies. They closed off Main Street and that made walking easier with the crowds. The grandkids had a fabulous time.

Sounds like a marvelous time!

Well, first I need to look up blackstrap.
If it's not molasses, then my first question, "Why the heck are you drinking molasses?" is moot.

That stuff would be deadly to me. Drink lots and lots of water....

Oh dear! Now I really do need to look up what that is...
Internet definition:
"Blackstrap" can refer to a primitive 18th-century rum-based drink made with molasses, or more commonly today, a dark, flavorful style of rum made from blackstrap molasses. This rum is known for its rich, complex flavor profile with notes of molasses, licorice, and spice, and is often used to add depth to cocktails like tiki drinks, Mai Tais, and Jungle Birds.
Well, that explains it - I burned out my Rum Cylinder back in college. Add to that, I cannot ephasize just how strongly I dislike licorice.
As for a chaser, the internet says:
For a chaser after blackstrap rum, consider something refreshing and acidic to cut through its intense, molasses-forward flavor. Water with a twist of lemon or a glass of pineapple juice are excellent non-alcoholic options, while a small sip of a strong ginger beer is a classic choice if you want another flavor to follow.

I say drink whatever you like... just don't light a match

Plus, I'm sorry, but a couple of crackerjack ringtones for a few were not appropriate when out in public. Perfect for them - but wow!

I don't always remember which ringtone goes to which person. I just know it's not the generic one so merits a look. I get my tones from an app called Zedge. I use the free version.

Thank you! My sister and niece actually picked it and the faucet. They called it the "Van Gogh" sink. I love it!

Caught up.

Now it's time to start knocking trees over before they knock over the spare house. It is amazing how many people love shade trees, but don't know how much damage they can do when they decide to retire. Best to give them a forced retirement.

There are a lot of trees down in my neighborhood due to the windstorm that rode in with the rain. Lots of ppl lost power, roads are blocked, but I haven't heard of any house damage. There probably is. Glad you're getting the ones that are in danger of falling down.

Well, travelling down to England was a success on Friday. My talk went down well and I had a great night with 65 other hunters. The following day they took me out on their marshes and I managed to shoot three geese. More than that it was a fabulous flight with glorious sunrise and thousands of geese on the move… fabulous!

Sounds like a good time was had by all! Did you bring any boys with you?

The cool air meant I had that nap when I got home. I am going to do more things with my grandson this week too.

My Detroit team is off today so caught I caught up on the Eagles and Ravens.
