The AH Coffee Shop and Reading Room 09

Just clicked .... by remembering a movie I hated.

OK, two films I hated and this person played a similar role in both.

Big name TV shows.

Big name 'star'.

Big name films.

Took two roles I hated to bring out the name, but can't recall the names of the characters in those two films. Maybe never knew them though.

Ugh, been busy all day and got maybe 1300 words done. Tomorrow I'm busy all day, and have little free time on Wednesday.
Why is it that when I finally find something that I like to do, somebody decides that I have to have a life?

Coffee. No sugar or cream. Just in a cup, steaming with a warm handle to touch. I like to watch the steam as it rises and curls for a moment. It's such a fleeting moment to behold. Blink and you miss most of it. That's why I pause my conversations–got to focus on that fleeting apparition.

Hello everyone.

Finished a story and got the edited version back from Kenjisato yesterday, about 7,500 words. Astronauts circling the globe meet up with a Twilight Zone moment. It could be posted in a few days.

sometimes if I'm lucky I can remember the name of the day of the week that today is.
I had that problem too. I'd check the paper calendar for a while to figure that out, but then, unless I crossed off the days, it didn't help any longer. Looking at a square didn't tell me if I had crossed off a day or not, so it wasn't very accurate sometimes. :(

These days, I ask Siri, on my iPhone 13, and she never tires of telling me. :)

Now, knowing the day doesn't mean I recall everything due on that day, don't you know? ;)

oh, I know... aging is for the brave

The beginning of a story always goes slow for me. I worked all day yesterday and only got 900 words because all the decisions I didn't make beforehand (what's the name of this place? what does this character look like? what color are the walls?) now have to get settled and put down in the manuscript. And sometimes those details end up more interesting than they were meant to.

To me, 900 words is a very good start, and more than I almost ever get done in a day. Though I did write Mom's New Cock (1815 words) in one morning, if you couldn't tell. It felt very stream of consciousness. I'd say I was channelling my inner James Joyce, but don't dare compare myself to him.

Another drizzly morning with gray skies. A perfect day for writing and looking out the window. For once, I can't complain about aches and pains so I'm going to count my blessings.

There's a fresh pot of coffee brewing and the teapot is hot. I didn't do any cooking yesterday so there's only donuts and cookies on the counter today.

I'll be over in the corner working on my story. Now that I've nailed the ending, I find myself anxious to flesh it out and finish it. It's turned out better than I hoped it would and I really like it. Of course, now I'll have to figure out what's going to be in the next installment, but I'll worry about that later. Being a pantser does have some perks ...

Good Morning All - I got up this morning bright and early and did my Patriotic Duty as a proud American and ordered something from Amazon. (It's Amazon Day! Where's the topless archer chicks?) I ordered an 8 pack of multicolor PLA filament for my 3D printer, and I also got a 3d image file of Holo the Wise Wolf from the anime series Spice and Wolf.

No dedicated writing today  I have a doctor's appointment soon (Her yacht isn't going to pay for itself) then after that, the board of directors meeting for the Nassau County Amateur Radio Emergency Service organization (It's Hurricane Season) Who has a board meeting at 5:00 PM except a bunch of retired nerds? After that I think I'll go to Panara, poach their Wifi and work from there.

Then I'll go lick my wounds... I KNOW better than posting a legitimate story in LW... I KNEW it was a mistake... 🤬

It’s our last nice day before the cold front comes through. SO has an eye appt mid day. Otherwise I’m writing and reading other people’s WIP. I’m actually taking a break eating while my story is at its climax. I need to get back to finish the climax then write the calm down. Maybe onto my relationship story tomorrow

🤭 Now I'm picturing a guy stopping sex mid climax to eat a sandwich while the girl just watches him with an, "Are you crazy?" look on her face.

Concert day. Thank goodness the (way too little) rain that came through this morning did it's business this morning, leaving the remainder of the day sunny and clear for loading and unloading the truck. Nothing like dealing with big, heavy percussion pieces like chimes in the wet. Very thankful we're not dealing with a piano, particularly the 8-foot Steinway we had at the college. I hope to be able to fit in a haircut before fetching the truck from the rental store. New location this time, so I don't know what to expect after two years of hassle-free check-ins and -outs with the previous place.

Huh. Okay. Tornado siren just sounded. Must be 10 a.m. on the first Tuesday of the month.

@Duleigh , sorry about your flagellation at the hands of the LW crowd. But it's expected. One of these days we're going to figure out that the proper place for "loving wives" stories is actually BDSM, considering all the abuse we get.
