Story Pending, more than a Week

My deleted and reposted story is now pending for 24 hours.

I will keep you updated if it EVER get published.
Did the same 2 days back with a note to admin notifying them about delay and that it's the THIRD time I'm doing it. After 25 hours, when I thought I was in the clear, the time got reset back to 0. And every single time this has happened to my stories, they never get to see light of day. I have no idea if they just fully stopped sending back stories or what?

I genuinely would love to know what is going on. Not even waiting for a month was enough for someone to approve it or send it back. I had my stories sent back within a day, but since then not even once. They just keep pending. Just tell me what's wrong with it... I'm genuinely losing my mind on this site. How can I even write a series or standalone story, when this is what I have to deal with? It's literally the most random and unpredictable system.

Exactly. I have a series with 4/5 part finished. Only part 1 has been published. Part 2 has been pending.
Just tell if it waiting for review or if there is something wrong with it.
In the meantime, plenty of other stories get published.
I just would like to know if it is:
a) a case of overload
b) something wrong with my story
c) something else

The silence is the worst part.

Does not seem to be overload; a significant number of stories ARE being published most days.
If it were an issue with the story itself, there's no reason they would just sit on it doing nothing.
Consensus is some glitch in the file management system that is sequestering stories randomly where they are not visible in the reviewer's user interface.
And yes, it is irritating that the admins have failed to acknowledge explicitly, so far, that there is such a problem.
I got mine unstuck by deleting the Pending submission, adding a note to admins about the delay, and resubmitting. But, anecdotally, this does not seem to work in every case.

I did this based on the advice of others and I am still waiting.

A simple acknowledgment would go a long way in my opinion!

My story has a publishing date of 10/3

As a reminder, it was submitted at a certain date and the date changed and it stayed in pending limbo. I changed some words and resubmitted and it changed nothing. I deleted it and submitted as a new submission with a note explaining the situation and it was published in 24 hours

Glad you got over the line eventually 👍

Congratulations! I'm still in the limbo. Trying to resubmit my stories today...

I just want to delete a story. I submitted it to be deleted on Sept 12th. I was advised to send a message through my control panel and alert about the situation, but now that is over a week. If they want to make things easier on themselves, let us have the power to delete our own stories.

Adding my voice to the sound of the crowd. I've had a submission that's been pending for about a month. I had a story waiting for months earlier this year because there was a glitch in the system I couldn't fix, but otherwise, I've never had to wait any longer than a week. I deleted and resubmitted my most recent submission about a week and a bit ago, but it's still waiting. I've got the next three chapters ready to go, but I can't post them out of sequence. I've also tried politely nudging the admins, but it sounds like hearing nothing back is the new normal for everyone. It's so frustrating!

Thank you all. it's good to know I'm not the only one. My chapter 2s are stuck in limbo. I was afraid it was something I did.

Here's what Literotica says
- basically, give it 15 days in Pending
- my take is, wait that 15 days and if it's still pending after 15 days, delete it completely, resubmit and add a Note to Admin telling them what you have done. (ie your story sat in pending 15 days+, you deleted and are resubmitting). There seem to be some issues here that are affectimg a lot of people but with no other info available, we just gotta go with what we know and deletimg and resubmitting seems to be working for a lot of people - but give it that time in pending first - and DON'T jump in, open and resubmit - that just sends you to the back of the queue again.

If your story is in your Pending Stories folder and has been pending for fewer than 15 days, please do not click on or alter the submission in any way as that may further delay its publication***.

We are working to get caught up as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience, and for sharing your stories!

*** To Clarify: Simply clicking on a pending work will not send it back to the queue. However, we have had numerous cases where an author believed that they had "only clicked" on a pending submission but in fact inadvertently saved or otherwise altered it - thereby sending it to the back of the queue. For this reason, we recommend not clicking on or otherwise opening a submission form unless you intend to make changes.

Is this new guidance they posted somewhere?

Hello,

Just to let you know — one of the stories I submitted last Friday has just been approved and is scheduled to be posted this coming Friday.

However, three other stories that I submitted earlier — including one from September 19 (which happens to be Part 3 of an ongoing story) — still haven’t been approved.

I also tried the “delete and resubmit” method for one of those stories, but it didn’t seem to help — it’s been pending again since late September.

So I have to admit I’m a bit confused about the criteria used to determine the order of approval.

You're not the only one. Give it 15 days from when you submitted it, then delete and try again and add a comment in the Notes to Admin field explaining what you did, then cross your fingers
