Are you ashamed to be American at the moment?

As a Brit, watching from over the pond , I am stunned how the apparent moral fabric seems to have evaporated over the last decade in USA. Is that partial news we are getting over here, or is it how it really is?

Let me guess the results. The Democrats will all be ashamed to a person. The Republicans will not be ashamed to a person. Lol. :)

I'm never ashamed to be American.

I'm ashamed of the behavior of our administration as well as the feckless behavior of our Congress, but not for being an American.
I agree with your response and would add the Supreme Court to the two entities you identified

Fair enough. Scotus is doing its job. And a lot of the things it's doing is exposing that our system isn't meant to hold back this behavior unless all of the branches of government do their job in checks and balances.

Scotus is just showing everyone that the legislative branch has given our executive branch all the power and refuses to change course......the left should aim its anger at Congress ...not the courts who are doing the most in its job currently to check the other branches.

I'll add.....this assertion about the courts by the left is not helpful. Anyone who suggests that the left should change the courts when power is returned to the party will only make things worse.

I am embarrassed to be an American. I would be ashamed if I actually voted for any of this.

I will say because of the current state of America I have resigned from various 250th celebration committees. For me there is nothing to celebrate about the current state of the United States. So I will not volunteer my time nor sponsor many of the events.

You come here after being a member "since 2020," but have only 152 posts in 5+ years, and you create an obvious troll thread.

And you think you're going to get a pass for it?

Get fucked you moronic asshole.

You should worry about your own native civilization coming apart.
I worry about lots of things, but this thread was not about them. If you aren’t able to kr don’t wish to answer this thread, that’s entirely fine. Others will, and are, providing coherent responses to the thread question asked, however.
