Let's mention here the General Welfare clause of the Constitution. Notice it's not the Individual Welfare clause. Or the Group Welfare clause. It's not even the Minority Welfare clause.

It's the General Welfare clause because the job of the Federal Government is to look after the general interests of ALL of our society.
