Bump this every day Trump fails to cancel Jimmy Kimmel

I watched some of the ABC National news that was on after the extended local ABC drivel they played. Typical ABC twisting the headlines using out of context sound bites. I will say the chick delivering them was worth a look. But she speaks in ABC sideline news so unbelievable. The niteline after that was sensationalizing a retired footballer who is now coach. Sorry he got sick but didn't need to hear about how he pees.

What the fuck are you on about?

Here is last night's episode in its entirety on YouTube.

Note to Derpy: No copyright infringement here, YouTube pays ABC to stream Kimmel's show the day after broadcast, so don't bother reporting it. I'm only posting a link to the show so you can't report that either.

Funny that was also the exact same thing Saint Ann said with his very first post.

Poor Nextar having to make a choice between grovelling for their merger or supporting ABC/Disney's choice in programming.

And are they at risk of losing the approval from the FCC if they support ABC?

I have family in Portland, OR. It was an extended news segment on ABC.
Yep. The local news was extended. Followed by ABC National news anchored by a hot Hispanic Asian mix looking woman. Then Nightline did a deep dive into how Deon Sanders pees and can still coach the football team.

Ha ha. Looks like the late George Jones!
Lol He DOES!
And his wife Elon has the same sort of shiner that Tammy Wynette used to have once or twice a month (she "fell down" quite often").

If you really want to know how dysfunctional ole Possum 'n Tammy were, check out "Cocaine and Rhinestones" podcasts. It's beyond gothic. Jones invited Tammy and her husband on to his tour bus to be his opening act. Midway through that fateful first tour, Jones announced to Tammy and her husband that the price of being his opening act was that Tammy had to be available for fucking George a few times a week. Tammy said "sure"! right in front of her then-husband.

George gave up drinking as a prerequisite by Tammy before he eventually married her. He sent two gardeners to the hospital when their hedge trimmers hit bottles of liquor hidden in the thick hedges outside their Nashville mansion.

Oh and you could always tell just how drunk Jones was at his concerts....when he was completely obliterate drunk, he'd do the spoken word part in his biggest hit "He stopped loving her today" (a song he hated his entire life) in a "Donald Duck" voice and laugh at himself.

Sinclair is not involved in the merger I don't think and they chose not to air as well. Tegna was the broadcaster that aired the kimmel.

Sinclair is also.lookong to gain favor with dear leader for future business considerations

When his ratings drop back down in a week or two to cancelable levels he should book beyonce.

That always seems to help.

Nexstar has 40 ABC affiliates. Three major market affiliates: Salt Lake City, New Orleans and Nashville
Sinclair has 39 ABC affiliates. One major market: Washington DC (available on Baltimore ABC affiliate though).

Here in Texas Sinclair owns tiny market affiliates in Amarillo, Abilene and San Marcos.

I predict they will both cave in to public demand within a week.

Public demand is irrelevant to television executives. Ad revenue drives their decisions.

Was it Ad revenue that caused ABC to "cancel" Jimmy Kimmel (scant days before a 10% price hike in cable services)?
It was not.
It was political pressure from the Trump White House. Trump even said so.
The resulting tsunami of cancellations in less than a week (almost one million subscribers, according to unconfirmed sources) resulted in a very quick reconsideration of that political decision.
