Does anybody really watch/like the Kimmel show?

Obviously not many beings it was losing money. I'm not really into celebs promoting movies or I don't know. What's his show about? Other than hating Republicans. :)
I feel bad for celebs as they don't have any events to celebrate his or her work. These people poor their hart into acting and get very little rewards ;) for their work

Obviously has a lot of fans, otherwise Donald Trump wouldn't have cared and tried (unsuccessfully, of course) to get him cancelled.

Has anyone ever considered neither Colbert nor Kimmel are funny? I used to watch late night when Carson, Leno and even Letterman were funny. Fallon, on the other hand is an unfunny alcoholic, who just might be on his way out too.

I do enjoy watching Kimmel and Colbert lampooning the Orange Pig. It's a form of therapy and an antidote to the Pig's daily foolishness and divisiveness.

However, opinions about content are irrelevant to why Kimmel got suspended. Hell, I never want to watch Fox News content, but I would never support using the FCC to pressure Fox to adopt a different political slant.

Wait, you said he didn't have many fans. Now are you arguing he DID have a lot of fans but somehow his program is losing money?
I don't know the viewership numbers. Perhaps you can look them up. But, there aren't enough fans to prevent the show from losing $5 mil a month, which is what I said initially. :)

The only financial stuff I could find was that he's brought in $70 million in advertising revenue so far this year.

The Jimmy Kimmel show employs 200-250 people, with Jimmy Kimmel himself drawing a large salary. $70 million probably still isn’t enough to cover the costs.

Of course, one must consider the alternative: All those employees going on unemployment, etc, and the question of what programming would fill his time slot that would do better (cost vs benefit).

Keeping Kimmel and Colbert seems like the best option to me, but I’m not a network exec dealing with DonOld & the MAGAt republicans’ faltering economy and fascist oversight (coercion through threats against their broadcast license, etc).

The ratings data is pretty clear. Late night comedy is dying, and Jimmy’s show is the worst performer among the big three money pits. They are not valuable assets to the corporations that own ABC, CBS and NBC.

Please help Jack. Jack is good looking, intelligent, and looks like he's ready to host his own talk show. Jack's a good boy too; he wouldn’t tell lies or make stupid jokes

Chloe might want to take a look at the big picture:

😳

Jimmy Kimmel was / is doing just fine, sans the fascist actions of DonOld Trump & the MAGAt republicans (Stephen Colbert was doing fine as well).

Of course I watch Jimmy Kimmel - and Stephen Colbert - and John Oliver - and Jon Stewart - etc, but generally when they have a guest / guests that interest me. It’s the same with Sunday morning political shows. Stephen Colbert has the best guests if one is interested in politics / current events, imho, but his monologues are no better than Jimmy Kimmel - and neither can match John Oliver (though, to be fair, they are vastly different formats). Jon Stewart has his moments (but they are now usually spot appearances in a special format) - and Jon Stewart shows up on Stephen Colbert’s show (TLSWSC) somewhat regularly, so…

I also watch The View when there is a brewing political topic or if they have a guest I want to hear from (Kamala Harris was on The View today, and I made a point to watch, because the ladies’ perspective / questions are often quite unique & challenging - See also: When Sunny Hostin (who was angry with the Biden administration over Gaza) asked Kamala before the 2024 election what she would have done differently than Joe Biden during his presidency, and Kamala was put on the spot - not wanting to take the bait OR offend anyone - so she said “nothing comes to mind”: BTW - That question and answer exchange hurt Kamala quite a bit, so fuck Sunny Hostin for that cheap shot, but she had the right to take it.

👍

The beauty is we are allowed to have opinions, say what we want without consequences, unfortunately that is being taken away and that is not acceptable. Watch or don’t we all have that option

Your pedophile president lies and makes stupid jokes, trumptard.
Our Glorious Leader, praise be his magnificense, would NEVER lie or make stupid jokes. Unlike the disgustingly fascist wannabe oppressor of the working classes currently known as Loser Kimmel, Our Glorious Leader is a genius, witty (indeed, he's probably currently the world's funniest comedian) and incredibly entertaining as he shows the world how to run a superpower like it's never been run befpre.

Dunno wot your problem is, Phil.
