Workplace Loyalty is Dead

My, aren't you a helpful one?
Listen up, mate. It's a proper right old fiddle, innit? The main reason why not everyone can be rolling in it from their job is simple: the dough's only spread so far, like a scrape of margarine on a slice of bread. You've got to have the guv'nors and the gaffers at the top earning the bees and honey, and they need a shedload of punters underneath them earning buttons so the whole thing works. If everyone was a top dog pulling in a massive score, who'd be doing the grafting? It's a pyramid scheme in a suit, it is.
And as for getting clobbered by medical bills, well, that's the real kicker. It don't matter if you're a proper geezer or a little nipper, a sudden illness or a need for a major service like an operation can hit anyone, out of the blue, like a proper thunderbolt. If you ain't got the right readies tucked away, or, more importantly, you ain't got a proper, affordable bit of sky to cover your back, those bills'll come raining down on you like a load of paving stones. It can bankrupt even a fairly well-off bloke, forcing him to sell the mansion and all the bits and pieces. It's a grim reality, mate, a proper tragedy for a lot of good folks. No messing about.
how many hours do you waste per day? how many hours did you waste while growing up? the fault of you being poor, in on you

Doing nothing is not a waste. Doing nothing is the father of creativity, just as boredom is the mother.
But you don't understand that, oh you big, white, business-minded man. What have you ever created? What will people remember when you are no longer here?
But apart from that, I am not poor. My house belongs to me. My car belongs to me. My bicycle belongs to me. My rucksack belongs to me. Just like the woollen blanket I sleep under. I have enough to feed myself and my family, to support them in an emergency and to give them gifts whenever I want. That's enough for me.
