They are sensing the weather change. They are tired and here in the northeast, thirsty and prepping for winter.

The shorter days mean less production.

The late season wildflowers are really starting to kick in! We were on a road trip across Pennsylvania this last week and wild Fields were just yellow with golden rod (Solidago).

We got home Friday night and yesterday morning looked at all our wildflowers.

Woodland sunflower. We took a clump out of a field a few years ago, and they have totally taken over. They are borderline invasive. but in a good way.
