FIRED

I dunno. I can only offer up my opinion. Maybe these are instances of people not being well versed on the consequences aspect of 1A. Every day we see many getting burned by thinking things said on their FB and twitter are done as private citizens away from their employment and then finding out that they are fired. I would also maybe chalk it up to, again, maga actively looking for instances specifically among educators. Again, just my opinion.

Appreciate your honesty.

Don’t doubt your points hold water, but it’s hard not to conclude that the education sector has more than a little to answer for in this area.

It wouldn’t matter so much if we were talking about a different employment sector - but kids shouldn’t be getting taught by spiteful people who can’t, or don’t care to, tell the difference between opinions they don’t like and deadly violence.

Well, I'm going to respectfully offer a mild pushback and say that this is kinda low on the totem pole, for me, in light of the incompetent people heading agencies requiring at least some sort of degree or experience. Hard for me to go after teachers when Linda McMahon steps into head education in this next admin after Betsy Devoss. The lack of judgment that say a biologist, not knowing laws, displays on social media just pales to me in comparison to the life threatening criminal negligence being displayed by rfk.

And, I appreciate your view and well versed candor on this subject as well.

Putting incompetent lickspittles into senior positions is the playbook we’ve come to expect. The GOP has to answer for that.

It’s not an either/or situation though, and doesn’t make the warping of young minds by their educators any less ghoulish and grim.

……and implies a lot of people working in this field are too lacking in self awareness and common sense to be doing the job.

How are educators warping young minds by personally saying things online?

Is it such a leap to imagine that a teacher who chooses to go online and celebrate a political murder might be taking some of that worldview to work ?

Couldn’t care less if they’re a butcher, baker or candle stick maker……..but if they’re filling my kids head with that then it’s more than problematic.

1. I believe the extraordinary leap is your assumptions on teachers rather than my view of appointed heads in this admin.
2. Kirk was not elected by voters. Although he delved in politics, I refuse to call it a political murder unless he held an office serving constituents.
3. And I am not questioning your parenting skills, but Kirk was a racist, a misogynist, and an all around POS. I don't know the ages of your children, but Kirk established TPUSA with a stated intent to indoctrinate college students. If your gripe is against a 1st grade teacher then I may be able to understand. I have no problems with a college professor introducing college aged adults to Marxist theories or the words of Ghandi.

The point stands regardless of whether it’s a political murder or not, so by all means you can just call it murder.

I’ve already conceded your dismay at the quality of senior government hiring is totally justified, but if you want to pretend that teachers don’t influence kids we’re at an impasse.

I’d assume you wouldn’t want your kids - real or metaphorical - taught by people of Kirk’s worldview given your less than neutral summary…….which ought to give you some idea why people might not like the idea of hateful teachers.

I believe that I have been forthright in answering all the questions you have seemingly posed to me.
So, I will then ask you again. How are educators warping young minds? I need examples - I will even accept anecdotal ones. If a teacher is saying something on social media with a circle of friends that include students they are currently teaching seeing their posts then sure, that in itself is a lacking in judgment worthy of firing. It is harder for me to buy that as the example than what I previously explained of how RW activists, republican politicians, and some on this site, have detailed their desires to hunt and terminate anyone being critical of Kirk.

Again, I have no fear of Kirk's worldview being taught to my or any other parent's kids. No one has said that his brand of fascist rhetoric should be banned. It was to my ever loving delight that college aged kids have a number of videos to last time eternal of them handing Kirk his proverbial ass. It is HE, not any of those young adults, who needed eyes opened to a viewpoint contrary to how they were raised.

Also, I have not checked on any of the updates today - Kirk's death has quickly started to bore me as does the murder of of children on school grounds bores republicans and the NRA, but I am digressing. I have not checked on any of the recent updates, but last I checked, his killer seemed to be someone disillusioned with Kirk himself. Not an educator, not a person of color, scientist, undocumented worker, or tran. A young, college aged, white male exercising his 2a rights in Mormon Utah. That's some messed up Karma.

🤔

I like teachers who don’t like racist, fascist, bigoted, zealously religious ammosexuals who care more about protecting unfettered access to ridiculously overpowered guns with ridiculous accessories & capabilities than they do about protecting children and society: Charlie Kirk was ALL of those things.

I would be FAR more worried if a teacher was heartbroken over Charlie Kirk’s death because they AGREED with that (formerly) racist, fascist, bigoted, zealously religious ammosexual POS, and they were committed to instilling those values into our kids (are any teachers who openly mourn Charlie Kirk’s death and praise his PAST views, beliefs, words, and actions getting hunted down and fired???).

Just sayin'…

😑

We. Told. Them. So.

Apparently Kirk was an agitator. Never listened to hm but the Quotes were all I needed to see why he as living on borrowed time. Run your mouth and pay the price. And apparently some faaar right "christian" wingers thought he was not radical enough. They are called the Goyumguppies or something. No one cares. America needs moar agitators wiped out.
