We've discussed this for a few years so I know all about that hesitation for the first steps.

So it’s officially one week since until we go to the club. I’d like to thank everyone that commented and responded. It added some really good context and a few things we’ve added into our preparation. A number of commenters want to know an update after we’ve been so I’ll try and post that here when we’ve taken our own time to debrief.

I’m going through emotions of pure excitement and nerves, it changes hourly. I’m sure that’s normal and I can’t even imagine what this time next week will feel like. Thankfully we have a busy week with a wedding involved to keep our minds off it.

Dress is organised. Lingerie has arrived for the play area. I’m think we’re all set…..

So my husband and I have made the, quite frankly, terrifying (and thrilling) decision to go to our first swingers club.

We’ve discussed this for years, and have made strong boundaries and rules for this fact finding trip.

Let’s call it a dip our toes in a little and get them a bit wet………

So any advice, etiquette, knowledge 2 middle aged , well educated, socially acceptable (kind of) people on a flight of fancy should know before we go?

I have been married so speaking out mt arse a little but have taken women to swinger events and kink clubs. I feel the main advice is to be mentally prepared for it. One partner may get into more than the other of have more interest from the opposite sex. So make sure you are both not going to feel left out or decide its not for them once the event starts

Have you ever watched videos of naked sky divers? Anything not strapped down gets blown around.

several clubs I have been in insist on robes at the bar/ meeting area there is often a changing room and showers but not always condoms are normally placed in convenient places. Most use an arm band system to show what you are into so choose your preferences should the club you attend dose this.

Watch and learn take it slow, it’s not a race enjoy everything as you wish. Have fun.
