Absolutely.I'm not sure what the exact noun nomenclature was for the 30.06. With iron sights to adjust or zero that weapon wouldn't he need a scope, or time at a range with paper targets. With my bolt action I installed a redfield 3X9 variable and set it for 200 yards.
It could have been a head shot not compensating for bullet drop.
It's a terrible loss, I feel for his lovely wife and beautiful children.
I have my 7mm Mag Elk rifle sighted in with a 300-yard zero, which with my reloads that's about 3.0 inches high at 100.
It’s truly hard for children to grow up without a father. When he began with Turning Point USA, he had nothing. The silver lining is that his hard work made him a multi-millionaire by the time of his passing, so his wife and kids are well provided for. Beyond that, the extensive network he built, the Rolodex I mentioned earlier, no doubt offers many opportunities for their future.
