Comments That Make Your Day

Poor Chris. I use his songs a lot....

.....and thoroughly as evil as we would expect as well! I think you should send it to Mr Rea’s management for info about what his song inspired…. If you sent it directly to him he might have a heart attack!

Which ones have you used? ‘Shamrock Diaries’ is probably my favourite album of his, with its lush, shimmering landscapes and tales of love and loss. And that voice of smoked gravel. Although the searing pain of his ‘Stony Road’ period is also hard to go past.

I have my favorite songs - The Blue Cafe, September Blue, love The Road to Hell - haven't used that for a story yet but I'm sure I will. Driving Home for Christmas. Sail Away. And You My Love. Looking for the Summer

Favorite Albums - King of the Beach, The Road to Hell, Auberge, The Blue Cafe,

Thanks @KachinaDoll for this - the best kind of compliment to get is when somebody’s moved. XXOO

I almost didn't read this. From the story's title I knew I'd end up blubbing. I'm glad I did read. Beautifully written, I loved every word. Yes, I did blub.

From Summer Vacations by the Lake

Several comments requested a continuation of this story and some were unhappy with the infidelity. Then comes the following which makes it all worth while:

“Another 5 star triumph!
I've commented before on your writing talent and skills, so I won't belabor that point, which is on obvious display in this wonderful romantic tale. That said, I love your writing Style--so comfortable, free flowing, almost like a stream of consciousness. What a gift!
This was such a frustratingly enjoyable, sensual love story. You handled the emotional evolution so well, and the internal dialogue carried the day--so good. And, lastly, the sex scenes were so vividly painted, one could almost smell, taste, and yes, feel the erotic, skin to skin, passion.
Well done. Thanks.”

Thanks to ALL who comment. I appreciate your feedback, no matter what.

Okay, this email I got just fucking floored me. As in: it may have caused a few tears.

Erozetta,

I first came across you while binge reading the 750 Word Challenge stories (from it’s inception). I used that to find writers to come back to for their longer stories. Cookies, Commands, and Subroutines was a tasty little tease. Masked was so tragic, but clear and even a little bit relatable. Playing Rough a delicious lust fired romp. Then came Slippery Slopes, I didn’t like it, I wanted to knock some sense into her neglectful husband. I was surprised by The Climb giving the husbands view, I still think he’s an ass, but at least she’s got him back. Wicked Allure was a wonderful fantasy, if only we could so easily send the bad people where they belonged!

I finished the 750’s at the close of this years event, the timing just worked out that way. So with six stories, I only liked half, but you still told the others in a way that I enjoyed your skill as a bard.

Except for Lights, Camera, Blood: Ch. 05 (I haven’t figured out how to follow chain stories from one author to the next and still have plenty of stories I want to get to) I read the rest of your stories around early May (as best I can tell now) and have been following and keeping up since.

I have a hard time commenting on individual stories, and hate saying anything that could be a spoiler in a public comment. So I usually send a message after I’ve read all the stories and decided to follow.
You are unusual in that I’m just now figuring out what to say after so long.

I can’t always say I like the story, I’m a happily ever after kinda guy. But, I can say that I like having read the story, because of the way you tell it.

Careless Whispers is a perfect example of this. The relationships between Dean, Katie, and Gia are so complex beneath the surface. I have so many questions about motives, choices, and what they did or did not know, mostly for Katie and Gia. But isn’t that life, we rarely get all the answers. I do have one critique, as things got hot at the hotel Ray was also named as Roy and Ron.

Ironically my favorite of your stories is Devil’s Dance Floor from a category i generally don’t care for. The way you wove her memories in with the dance moves as the two wills battled for dominance.

The paragraph below was added after writing everything preceding this one. I had originally placed it at the beginning. Careless Whispers having been your most recent at the time. After reading Delectable Delights and getting some sleep my mindset had brightened and my brain began to function again. I took a closer look at your collection and didn’t find them as dark or somber as I was thinking. I then reread your about page and your opening paragraph there has me wondering: Is this story true or fiction? If true, then my sentiment stands. If fiction, then the paragraph stands as a testament to how sublime you can be.

I think I want to start with acknowledging What I Wrote and Why: Silence. While troubling, at least you have confronted the reality, and are continuing your journey of overcoming the past. I commend you for your strength. You mention stories that you’ve written to help heal, and then taken down to allow you to continue. That has me wonder, are they darker than I could handle with my preference for happy endings? Would your skill as a writer still overcome my hesitancy, if the overall balance of your stories wasn’t as playful as it is now?

And I’m back to that point of struggling with what can I say…

The stories I haven't specifically named? I've enjoyed them all, I just can't put it into a brief cohesive thought as to why or what specifically.

I’ll close with a simple Thank You. Thank you for sharing your time and talent with us. Thank you for giving us something to enjoy while we escape for a moment.

(I am responding to all of it and will link them to Alina's list for Lights, Camera, Blood)

Also, yes, I'm aware of the name mistake. Roy was just a typo, but Ron is the name of the guy he's modeled after and I meant to name him Ray. *Sigh* that one is bugging me and I'll submit an edit, lol.

I received this comment a few weeks ago, and it hasn't left my mind. It's from my Train Ride story (mind control), which is not receiving a lot of traction.

I found this a sweet, sexy story, and having not read the tags was pleasantly surprised by the touch of magic! Also, well done representing an emotionally intelligent man, even if there was a mind control element.

@BeneathHerBraid and my mutual appreciation comment exchange continues. I don't think they get much better than this on Love is a Place (it's on part 5, but it's really a comment on the whole series):
Okay, wow.

First of all - thank you for breaking my heart, kissing it better, then breaking it again, and somehow making it all feel like a hug by the end. This story… it felt like sliding into a warm bath of honesty and weirdness and love (I know you love my similes). Like - not the rom-com kind of love. The actual, real, tender, terrifying, mucus-level vulnerable kind of love.

Samantha is one of the most unique characters I’ve ever read. She’s careful and literal and intense and somehow utterly sexy. The way she speaks - those little metaphors, her need for precision - it never felt quirky for quirk’s sake. It felt earned. Lived in. You made her feel like a whole galaxy I wanted to orbit.

And Sarah - gawd, I wanted to hold her hand so many times. She’s warm and slightly shattered and figuring things out in real time. Their connection was so beautifully slow and real. I loved that you didn’t rush the sex, or the love, or the trust. You let it simmer.

Also - I did not expect to fall so hard for Keith?! What a gentle, awkward, quietly heroic little bean. His relationship with Samantha and Lydia was just… ugh.

By the time we got to the dual proposals - Samantha asking Keith, and Keith turning around and asking her - I was actually full-on crying into my coffee. Like an idiot. (A happy idiot.)

Anyway, I’m just so grateful for this story. It was strange and sexy and soft and brilliant.

Thank you. Truly. 💛

I'll be floating for the week.

LOL. Now this got my morning off to a great start

I have just finished reading your story, titled, "Meet Me At The Blue Cafe", and I would like to share my thoughts about your work.

Without exaggeration, I can confidently declare that this story is the single filthiest, most decadent and depraved, work of "literature" I have ever read in my entire life. This appeals solely to prurient interests, especially all of the explicit descriptions of vaginal friction, spurting jets of sperm splashing against nubile cervices and whatnot. As I read it, I found myself begging God to spare me from his wrath on the day of judgement when he confronts me with having read it. This piece is absolutely pornographic from start to finish. A Chinese girl gone horribly bad. Even Anaïs Nin has boundaries when writing about drenched, clenching quims and whatnot.

So obviously, I enjoyed it. Every bit of it. Please keep up the good work.

This comment on my story, "The Shape of Her Name", by @Areala-chan just blew me away, and I am so grateful to her for this kind of mind-blowing encouragement.

I've found her: the reincarnation of Keats' "La Belle Dame sans Merci". She's writing her under the pen name 'BeneathHerBraid' and killing each and every last one of us who wander into her fiction and emerge knowing we've been forever changed and forever ruined for the experience. <3

This is not a comment, but I have a reader who has been going through my entire series, favoriting each one. He started about two weeks ago. For a few of them, he is the lone favorite. He is almost to the end. but he has also hit three of them in the last twelve hours. These are not particulalrlyshort stories, ranging up to 21K, so he is reading pretty seriously right now. I know other people have commented on this phenomenon, but this is the first time someone has favorited each story for me (obviously, since he is the lone favorite for some of them). It really is a nice feeling to have someone who is obviously enjoying the series that much. I did send him a note making sure he knew about the other stories outside the series where those characters also appear.

I have been getting more comments than usual for my newest story (Perfect Sunrise), which has been up for 2 1/2 days now. After the poor reception my previous story got originally and the rest of the week I am having, I really appreciate these. My heartfelt thanks to all of you.

I'm not ready for this story to end. I have come to really like this couple and I think more of their story needs to be told. 5*
Thanks

Wow! That is heavy and happy, both at the same time. I enjoyed it.

Outstanding! I feel so hopeful after reading it, and that's something I really NEED right now. Thank you.

The beginning banter about a sex demon in the basement was hilarious.

The tentacle scene was hot as hell.

The aftercare was beautiful.

And the Q&A was engaging.

Really enjoyed this chapter.

This comment from yesterday on my story 'Ria's Seduction: Part 2'. Absolutely made my day
Thanks again NuclearFairy!

A couple of comments from a new follower, the first was on In the Arms of the Succubus, the second was for She's a Bully. That's my order of posting, not theirs.

There is one more out there from a different person, but when I looked today, I didn't remember the story, and couldn't find it in the Activities List.
