The Beatles weren't a very religious band, so to paraphrase John, Christ, this ain't gonna be easy, but they did love them some spirituality, so we'll figure it out. Gonna stick with that paraphrased song though.

"But You Don't Care" is from New Zealand's Mi-Sex (1979). They were a fabulous band - well ahead of their time. This song works with a lot of the stories here...

The Lurkers were one of those bands that somehow flew below the radar. Early poppy punk - and on par with the Buzzcocks, Rezillos, Rich Kids, The Skids, IMO.

The second album really explored the themes of alienation… I always felt the album cover was dead on.

Chi-Lites are one of the unsung heroes of funk. Great band!

I distinctly remember making fun of the name of that band when I was a young punk with some of my friends… only to realize years later, what a great band they were.
