The Isolated Blurt Thread XXXVII: You're Welcome, Fuckers

It really wasn't worth fixing. It was cheap and poorly made. I was just hoping it would last long enough so I could get a really good Singer model. Luckily, I currently don't have a need for it.

Are no really good singer models after 1975 or so. Singer slant needles are good, even my dad can’t break them.
I have elnas and pfaffs from the 60s-80s that are great.
Good luck.

There never is but I don't sew as much as I used to so I forgot most stuff. Thank you, you adorable teddy bear :rose:

So it’s come to sewing machines? Ill start digging my grave now..
It hasn’t come to this, it’s been like this since I joined. There are lots of women on lit who are into good sewing machines.

if anyone's not seen it yet, the 6 seasons of The Handmaid are welllllll worth the binge.

I don't do it on purpose you silly!!! :p
A lot of them were cheaply made so that helps for breaking. Mostly. it's just wear and tear. This one that broke, the bobbin holder suddenly popped off and refuse to stay back on. I should have known when it only cost $50. You get what you pay for. Depending on the machine, it's just not worth getting fixed.

I've broken a few because of mistakes. Others because of being cheaply made. You can break anything in the world given the right circumstances.
I've got a antique Singer you can try to break.

The tide is in and the waves on the beach are barely visible. There's a nice walleye chop for the first mile and then it's flat calm all the way across Turnagain Arm.
