Trump says he’ll sign order banning mail-in ballots, voting machines ahead of 2026 midterms

Tell us how difficult it is for you to walk down the street and vote. I'm sure that you'll have a wild tale to tell about having to brave the warm sunshine and balmy breezes as you stroll down the sidewalk for a few hundred feet.
LOL. So why doesn’t Trump do that??

The fed has no jurisdiction over how the states run their elections. He can sign all the orders he wants.

While state law primarily determines how elections are conducted, federal law also sets standards that all states must follow.

At the federal level, the U.S. Constitution, federal laws, and agencies all impact state and local administration of federal elections. In each state and territory, state constitutions, laws, and regulations dictate how election administrators carry out federal election functions—from registering voters to certifying election results. State-based processes must comply with federal law. States may further delegate authority to local government to regulate election administration and make policy decisions impacting the conduct of federal elections.

I dont have to work two or more jobs, take off work from one of those jobs to go wait four, five whatever hours in line to punch a voting card while worrying if my vote matters instead of earning the money I need to feed my kids and pay my rent/mortgage.

As I said, its to prevent certain minorities from voting that traditionally vote for democrats.

But lets flip it, why do YOU dislike the various options available to vote? Dont you want the most amount of pople to vote so it truly reflects the will of the people? Or are you afraid that generally speaking, the popular vote trends to the democrats and so this way it suppresses as many of the more traditionally left-leaning minorities votes which in theory would make it a "closer vote"...?

If you could vote from home, via mail, would you not want to do that instead of having to go to a polling center? I am sure many people enjoy the event, just as I am sure many people would prefer to do it on their own time, possibly a week or two or more in advance via mail. I mean, heck, you probably believe the democrats stole the election in 2020 right? With questionable counts, possibly sketchy voting machines...yes? So wouldnt the same hold true in 2024, 2028 and beyond? Or let me guess, elon musk's starlink saved the day and made it fair to you? So was it broken in 2016?Hence, voting by mail as an option seems to solve that issue on the surface, albeit many mailboxes were lit on fire/blown up to eradicate some cast ballots (in Oregon and Washington).

we have a problem with dishonesty in our elections.

it needs to be fixed.

providing an option that has proven to be defective is not the solution.
