Something that came up in taking to a friend this mornng...

I appreciate the fact that, at any moment, we can stop and change course to be a version of ourselves that makes us a little more proud to be us.

Just because I may have veered towards a less desirable version of myself - more cynical as an example - I can understand why I went there and then course correct to be a little more like the person I want to be. Just because we mad a choice or a comment or have an opinion doesn't mean we have to commit to them - personal sunk cost fallacy. Every day is a new day and, with zero explanation needed to anyone, I can reorient my internal compass, change my mind, adjust my behavior and be happier with myself.

I know the feeling! Mine’s almost 13 and having some trouble with arthritis in her shoulder, so every walk is a gift!

I totally get that! Yeah he’s still doing pretty well for his age. He has a little arthritis too which bothers him at times and quite possibly a little dementia. I am not ashamed to admit for super long walks he spends half the time in a dog stroller especially if it’s super hot on the ground for his little paws.
He’s super attached to me and follows me everywhere

Almost turned over my skidsteer today on uneven terrain.

Luckily I was just stuck on a huge log. Left track up in the air, spinning: I was a tanker in the army… I cut some smaller logs and wedged them under the track for gription. Then used the front end loader to get unstuck.

Safety first. Whew.
