Good call. Thats what the dentists said too.

I think I turned the corner yesterday. Felt much better (I slept for 12 hrs on Tuesday), had a lot more energy and the pain was slightly less.

And it’s not fully there, my lip is slightly less numb. I think feeling is returning to it.
I hope you get feeling back soon if you haven't already. 🫂

I kept my license for several years after I retired for "just in case." Since I gave it up, I couldn't get a license without completing a remedial course.
I dislike how some professions are treated... 99% of the people don't have their degree "revoked" or expire, just because they worked in a different field for a while....

I have heard that from everyone I know that has had the surgery. Everything looks brighter. It seems depending on the eye condition readers may still be needed or you can choose to wear glasses.
Almost everyone has some accommodation loss after cataracts surgery. There are special lenses that can be implanted to help with this. Unfortunately, I was not a candidate for them. My ophthalmologist already had to order special lenses due to my prescription need.

Quick update…this is literally the first chance I’ve had since the last.

After momma’s fall, she was just in constant pain. The ER doc said if she wasn’t getting better 3-4 days bring her back. We have to bring her to the ER due to her pacemaker and overall heart condition. So by day two, she called Sunday morning and said she couldn’t take it and to come pick her up. I get there and my son and I tried to get her out of her chair and she couldn’t do it. Called the pro’s and punted to EMS…that guarantees she gets a room (not a sure thing in our overpopulated town) and we got her right in. CT scan was negative again, thank heavens, and they determined that it was probably muscle spasms but her pain was through the roof.

So got her home Monday and settled. Hopefully she’s learned her lesson and will stay down till at least these meds are done. Still haven’t heard from the oncologist yet, so not sure when her radiation treatments start. Long road ahead for sure.

For all she’s been through she is good spirits. That’s worth its weight in gold.

I felt comfortable enough to leave her in the good hands of the rest of the family so I went to work. Out in Cali wine country so the MZ is more grapes!

It's good you called EMS for transport. It makes a HUGE difference in getting roomed right away vs waiting for hours in the ED waiting room.

LMAO remembering following my daughter and 3 grandkids down a state Hwy...
She slammed on the brakes and they all jumped out like a Chinese fire drill, but with bowls in hand, ran over to some blackberry bushes, filled their bowls and we hauled ass. It was like a "blackberry flashmob!"
She sent me home with fresh blackberry jam that evening!
"Blackberry flashmob!" 🤣🤣🤣

Once a tanker, always a tanker.

I got the skidsteer all hung up on a giant log today. Prolly 20” in diameter. It lurched to the right… the left track was in the air spinning and the skidsteer was at abt a 25° angle. A little dangerous…

Fuck! I’m in the middle of the woods by myself. Shoulda taken a picture.

Army training kicked in. Stuff logs under the left track so it can get gription. I had my chain saw with me. Cut some logs to put under the left track. (I also used the front end loader to push myself up and back.

And it worked!

Who said being a tanker had no transferable skills to civilian life?

Got a lot of trail cut today. Had a stubborn spot with a lot of down logs.. maybe only got 30-40 Ft done in two hours, but then I broke out into a more open area.

I should have that trail done tomorrow.
Glad you figured it out, W! Army training taught you how to think your way out of a problem!
