Day 11: A song that references an airplane

I had four songs lined up for this one - each one completely diff genre: skinhead reggae, metal and a singer/songwriter kinda song. I couldnโ€™t decide. Either could my wife.

So ended up with this rocker. First heard it in the UK/DK soundtrack in 83 or 4ish.

The Vibrators - Fighter Pilot

Day 11: A song that references a plane
I'm going to use my second song pass to try to cobble together a single coherent answer for today.
First up, we've got a song about a plane (crash) that doesn't specifically have a plane or type of plane in the lyrics.
"American Pie" - Don McLean

Second up, we've got a song with a specific type of plane in the lyrics that isn't about planes at all.
"Jet Song" - West Side Story

Day 7: A song that mentions aliens or space

Still catching up, still breaking the fun other people are having with using the daily theme. This one was oddly challenging for me? Even though this one popped right to the front of my brain, I kept trying to find other things in the recesses of my mind. Once it only returned a song from one of those Disney-straight-to-TV Zombies movies, I decided to just roll with this.

Day 9: A song that references a train

I went back to check to make sure no one else had used this one. This video is so fucking haunting you guys. But, reports are that it helped find close to 20 kids who had previously been missing in the early-mid 90s. That's...really good news. And good for Soul Asylum, a band who'd put in a lot of work just to get to 'modestly big' to use their biggest song to that end.
