For years, I worked for small inner city not-for-profit rehab operations fixin' all manner of shit from small shit to whole house rehabs. Not a dime was paid out in advance and all of it was subject to a retainage until approved fully by All The Other Parties Concerned. Hell, I was concerned and I knew it was fucking done, but still.
