August

You got me pegged, and I hate being pegged! OUCH! :p
And I can see you years from now in a bar
Talking over a football game
With that same big, loud opinion
But nobody's listening
Washed up and ranting about the same old bitter things
Drunk and grumbling’ on about how I can’t sing
But all you are is mean 😭

🫣😉
If those are lyrics from one of her songs, she means one.

And? So? We'd cover our lunchboxes in Chiquita banana stickers, punctuated by the occasional red Dole sticky. That's not at all an unusual amusement for the kids in us.

See? You're unique... like everybody else. 🤪
Naw dude. My Peachee was covered in Rat Fink stickers with doodles in between. The problem was my art teacher never looked at my doodles and declared, "An undiscovered genius artist!" It was always, "WTH are those?" So much for my dreams of being the next Dali.

I have no idea what you mean by Rat Fink!

Just the KC Chiefs? I'd argue that encompasses the entire NFL, the NBA, MLB or any major sport. Major sport athletes are a protected class, just like celebrities or the rich. They can get away with shit the rest of us would pay dearly for. Just look at some of the things top college athletes do and get away with.

And if Taylor is supporting the bad parts of the Chiefs by supporting her boyfriend, who is on the team, then every NFL fan is doing the same by supporting their team, because there isn't a team in the NFL that doesn't have a bad seed.

As far as Taylor goes, I'm not a fan, nor do I listen to her music, but like other genres of music I don't cotton to, as long as I don't have to listen to it I'm fine. Many must like it though from the money she drags in from sales. It's interesting that once in a while you have a celebrity that elicits a black or white reaction from people. She's one of those. The majority either love her or hate her. And both factions are VERY vocal about their choice. Come to think of it, maybe it isn't just Taylor but a sign of the times.

The thuggery is getting a lot worse because the money in the NCAA and NFL is all that matters. I'd say the Chiefs have been the worst national felon league team the last few years per number but no one can top the Browns signing serial rapist Watson to a 230 million dollar deal, and karma has bitten them big time.

Now that they're paying them in college the criminals and entitled divas will increase. But the NFL has been rigged since legalized gambling anyway so its not like they care about anything else.

April, come she will
When streams are ripe and swelled with rain
May, she will stay
Resting in my arms again
June, she'll change her tune
In restless walks she'll prowl the night

July, she will fly
And give no warning to her flight
August, die she must
The autumn winds blow chilly and cold
September, I remember
A love once new has now grown old

Remember The Graduate? It was on the soundtrack. Only forty-seven years ago.

Somewhat off-topic, but that's when Chrysler used to be an important car company, not a vestige buried in a weird conglomerate of marginal brands. Who even buys Dodges now?
A few people. Like this one: Dodge Hellcat SRT can have up to 807 HP
Or the legendary work truck with the best diesel motor (Cummins 6.7 L) in the industry under the hood: Dodge Ram 3500 6.7 L Cummins

I'm actually a Ford brand guy, but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and admit your favorite brand has been outclassed.

Back in the days of Ratfink, the three major US brands were neck and neck though. Chevy's 427 against Ford's 427 and 429 and Dodge with it's 440 magnum - and 426 Hemi. There is nothing like standing close to the starting line as a couple of those bad boys rattle your teeth with a smokin' screamin' launch into the 1/4 mile. Between the drag races and rock concerts, there is a very good reason a lot of my generation are hearing challenged.

I don't doubt that you're right. But people were still buying Studebakers in 1962 and Oldsmobiles in 2002. I doubt that what once existed as an American industry is ever coming back, at least not in that form.

Oddly, in one of my most recent stories, set in 1974, the female character buys a 1970 Dodge Coronet 440. She knows it has the 318 V-8. I think she says, "There's more to life than fuel economy." in another series, also set in 1974, the female character buys a green 1970 Mustang convertible. Her boyfriend doesn't have any car, but he's very impressed anyway. "It was awesome to cross the long Tappan Zee Bridge [with the top down]. This is great, and the chick is even providing the ride. I guessed that some guys would be irked by that, but I was fine with it."

How did we get onto cars?

Well this is a sex sight. And you're probably way too young to have experienced a full-sized car with bench seats, front and rear. a LOT of first time sex experiences happened on those bench seats. They were spacious and comfortable, like a big ol' couch. My wife and I, before we got married (and sometimes after) almost wore out the front seat of her '65 Chevrolet Chevelle. To be honest we even tried it in my 1963 Triumph TR4, only once though. Those who have been in a TR can understand why it was only once. We found out quickly we weren't contortionist enough to do it twice.

Yes, there are quite a few sex "sights" on this site for sure. You might as well post a photo of a TR4 for context. I would do it, but the thread has already drifted a lot. Not just drifted, shoved miles off course. I know, I am responsible for that too.
