Daddy's Little Girl - Fourth Edition

Unless I've missed something, I haven't seen you post anything untowardly.... Everyone here seems very welcoming as long as the conversations are respectful and within the subject of the thread topic.

I second what @Jw75766 said!

You haven't done anything wrong. You're exploring, and that's what this thread is for. There's no checklist to ensure passage into the thread. Exploring, learning, growing - that's the intention of the thread.

As others have said, I haven’t noticed anything that was out of bounds.
Thanks for the reassurances, y'all. I guess I was overreacting. I often fear I'm going to say the wrong thing.

I don't know about anyone else, but this past week has been hugely stressful for me. It's been so bad that even reading or coloring seems like a burden. But, I saw that oasis that @CuriousRick posted, and thought of how that might be a perfect spot to relax.

It's summer, and I wish I could go swimming, but I don't see that in my future anytime soon. It would be so nice to be in that cool water, but also getting the exercise to take my mind away from things here.

When your normal self care isn't working, what's your backup plan?
I can empathize with you @barefootgirl69 . While the past week was better for me, the previous two weeks were very hard, overwhelming, and stressful for me at work, and it's been months since I've had an unbroken night of sleep. I didn't have many spoons left after taking care of what needed to be done once I got home from work.

Honestly, I haven't really given much thought to what I'd do. I usually just go until I stop, crash, and then I go again. I suppose I curl up with my bunny stuffie in bed and sleep? 🤷‍♀️ I'm still working through things in therapy right now and as I've mentioned before, learning and discovering more about myself as I go.

Ever felt like coloring and getting excited for it, then just ugh, suddenly you don’t want to anymore?

Happened just now and I’m bummed. Guess I’ll go see if I can concentrate enough to read or watch TV.
This happens to me with my crocheting and sewing .....
Not usually my coloring

Good morning, everyone :) I hope you all have a great day!! Cookies, brownies, and all kind of sweet treats for all :)

Self care is so important. And it's not always easy.

My main way of self-care is things like writing, walking (not in this heat) driving (only if I have A/C in this heat) and spending time with my wife and friends. Not everyone has that last option, which is unfortunate.

When those don't work, it can be tough. My backup has always been food. Good comfort food always works for me. The problem with that is that can sometimes lead down a destructive path...as using food to deal with stress is not a healthy thing to do, I struggle with maintaining a healthy weight (especially as I get older) because some of my comfort foods are things like Chicken rice and gravy. Where it may not be super unhealthy, but a little bit is all you really need. But I love it so much, that I just keep eating and eating...until I'm ready to explode...Or fried foods....

If you are lucky enough to have a partner, Sex is a GREAT way to relieve stress. Plus a good partner will help carry the load for you anyways.

And on that note...

Good morning to all the Daddies, Littles.....AND everyone in between, and all the undecided out there... ;) especially @desertbunny

I've got more breakfast here again today. Sandwiches and burritos and quesadillas. And I brought some coffee too for those that are big enough to have it. ;)

Sometimes the best self care is locking the door, putting my feet up, and reading through His messages. Feeling that connection and knowing I'm safe and loved and cared for heals me after I feel like I'm coming apart at the seams. Oh, and having a cup of tea. Can't forget that!
Coffee or Tea and He.... :)

So we have almost made it thought Monday.
Question to everyone with a s/o in your life. Do you have any routines for different days of the week?
Every Monday and Tuesday from 4pm- midnight my wife and I spend the day lounging around the house completely naked. We call it Naked night. We also do this every other Sunday. It's the only days we have no one else in the house.

Also every night, around 10:30-11pm, we go to our bedroom, and get in bed, turn on the TV, and watch at least one episode of Family Guy (until we finish it, then we'll find some other nonsensical comedy) it's our way of relaxing and winding down for the night.

It just depends on his schedule. He's a lineman so who knows what his day or night is like. But we do like to watch Fails on YouTube on those nights where he's home on time.

We like to go out when we can but don't really have a set date night.

Yes. On Tuesdays we go to a munch when there is one, and do something just we two when there isn't - usually it ends with an evening snack here and me being tucked to bed. Tonight I'm going to his place though, and I know we'll at least be planning a longer session next week.

On Fridays we normally have a play/session/date evening. Alternatingly here and there, unless his place is too hot or cold. This is the one week in a year when that doesn't happen, because he's going to a gaming con, and so I've planned a trip of my own.

And then of course the next day I'm just resting, and within 72h of the session I have to write feedback/session diary, so that's normally sent on Monday.

We both have our own weekly routines, so we make them work with these. He actually has much stronger routines than I do.

Sunday is our special day. He cooks a big breakfast before we go to church. After church, we come home and focus on ourselves. Once a month we spend time discussing how things are going with our dynamic. We've been at this for just over a year. After that is cuddle time and a movie or TV. when dinner time comes, I hang out with him in the kitchen. He cooks, I sip wine, and generally make myself adorable, because after dinner is play time.

Other days find us in the same dinner routine, minus the play. We talk about our days and what is coming up on our calendar. Cuddles are mandatory after dinner sometime they evolve into frisky times.

Monday evening is our “running the household” night, focusing on the tasks we are assigned.
