The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

So, finally home after a 10.5 hour journey. A fabulous 2 weeks of which more later. It was marred only by an Internet connection that decided for moral reasons anything Lit related, or with similar content, was out of bounds. I hate this level of censorship but hey ho back now and will contribute as I can.

I hope all my friends are well... but please don't expect me to catch up.

Welcome back, G!🥰 You better have taken pictures! 😂😅

So you know of my traumas on the way to our holiday. The background is that we use a Croft owned by friends in an isolated location on mainland Scotland. We live in Scotland but it is still a near 400 mile drive the last 100 are on poor single track roads. So driving that road with three wheels on the trailer was a concern in case another blew but we made it. The tyre was screwed and with the others showing signs of cracking it was time to change them all. Fortunately a local tyre fitter was able to order in and 48 hours later it was sorted.

The Croft at Armadale Bay is part of an old, 1800”s settlement of two room dwellings. Most of these are now derelict but our friends have modernised theirs into a cosy cottage with outstanding views down their land to sea. Add kennels for the boys and it a perfect setting for a couple of weeks

It is an isolated location and the peace and tranquility is palpable. You can’t help but melt into a semi-comatose state of relaxation.
Beautiful view! 😍

That tire is scary, tho! 😱😱

I hate the people who sat they will meet you to purchase something on Facebook marketplace and dont show up....

They can eat a bag of dicks.

I broke my own rule I am usually pick up only no contact... never again

And now it is raining so hard that I had to pull over. Visibility is shit and I am afraid water will be up and I will get in trouble...

Eat a bag of dicks lady
Girl! Get home as safely as you can and STAY there till the water recedes.

Power just went out here. IDK why; I doubt it's weather related. I'm thankful now for the generator. 🙏 I got a text from the power company; they expect to restore power sometime after MN. I've invited neighbors on both sides to plug in and my friend across the street to come over.
Berry neighborly of you, lil.

Our first night of the holiday was greeted by a stunning sunset. The light here is just amazing which is why it is favoured by artists. So despite being shattered after such a long drive we sat and enjoyed this before bed. And at this latitude it is never fully dark and certainly 11.00 pm we still had enough light in the sky to walk the boys.
Gorgeous! 😍

Not to sound cynical, but the utility company might've found somewhere that they could sell it at a higher profit margin.

I was so stupid.... never again... poor decision making... wished someone was there to help me... but there wasn't so I had to get myself out of it.... I am anxious about it still
Glad you are OK but you did prove to yourself just how capable you are. But don't do it again or I'll have to put you over my knee...;)

I found out through the power company app, Ring app, and Pulse Point app what caused the outage. A wildfire below power lines caused the lines to catch on fire! 🔥😱🔥
