I'm involved in an online coaching program. They wanted daily weigh-ins with a WiFi-enabled scale that sends them the numbers. I agreed but firmly informed them that I would not be looking at numbers any more frequently on my end than once a month.

I went to my friend's house for dinner the other day. We were watching a group of young bald eagles flying and hunting. Here's a picture of one in a tree.

I love seeing birds of prey out and about. We have falcons nesting on buildings downtown, hawks all over - and they love to perch on the streetlights on the Interstate, and a few nests of Eagles around the lakes.

I did once dream that I had been nicknamed "donkey"...

Something similar happened with my late wife’s friends and family. I have rediscovered old friends and discovered new friends from my group of widows and widowers. I’m glad I am close to my children and grandchildren.

I recall seeing pictures of how low it is. I wonder what will happen in the future.

It's a dammed lake. I think levels depend on the amount of water running in the rivers. There needs to be enough flow for fish, drinking, irrigation, etc. There may be treaties involved.

One street over flooded basement and there was standing water and outside of the village it was high.... and running... people were warned to not drive through.... I stayed home and prayed... we just did work on our storm sewers and the flooding is better in the flooding parts of tge village but that much water that fast is tough.... we are also surrounded by a creek that regularly runs over the banks
